This thing is quite nice and I am impressed with the OEM type finnish. Then again why wouldn't I be, it's something Whipple does perhaps better than anyone else.

This thing is quite nice and I am impressed with the OEM type finnish. Then again why wouldn't I be, it's something Whipple does perhaps better than anyone else.

My car is currently at Tasca Mod Shop getting a McLeod lightened steel flywheel installed so I will follow up with some installed pictures when I get her home and get this in.

What are the benefits of having the air box enclosed?

The box keeps the heat out....or at least it should do slightly better than the sheet metal.

I doubt it will make it much quieter...the design is still very much open as you can see from the pics it has a huge opening. It's not much of a "sealed airbox" but at least it has a lid

I have a real carbon fiber intake from Whipple. I plan to buy their real carbon for the jackshaft cover next.

And now I'm thinking maybe when I get mine I should have the blower hydro'ed in CF...

Dan and I had a marathon weekend!
Installed my enclosed airbox and smaller pulley.

Kooks long tube headers and RXT clutch and billet steel flywheel.

Nice ! That enclosed airbox looks interesting...Would be killer in a clear plastic pr plexi glass so you could see the filter inside.

Your going to luv the RXT setup. Its a great clutch/flywheel combo.

My hands hurt and looks like I went 10 round with mayweather but what an accomplishment to get those projects out of the way.....it takes some balls to rip apart your brand new car congrats on the upgrades. I get the first hell ride when the rxt is broken in.
