Whipple stage II tune question

Hello! Noob question. Anyone with some tuning knowledge know what it is that after market tuners (e.g wengerd, shoemaker, lund etc.) do to get more out of a stage II kit than the whipple tune does? I know whipple has to make a tune that’s carb legal and generally safe, but what changes specifically do these other tuners make to get more power out of the set up? Is it just more timing?

The biggest gain they will give you, is if you don't have cats, is turning COT off

Personalized tuning to your specific car, timing adjustments, potentially more aggressive table all together.. transmission gets tightened up as well!
The Whipple tunes are a great start - we've used them for years and they use top of the line calibrators to make them. We inevitably go with a custom tune, when available (cough, s650). If looking for a custom tune, we have Shoemaker and PBD both on sale THROUGH TODAY.

RPM, Speed Limiters, Timing, Trans tuning, lots of different things they play with. Really comes down to your goals and if you feel you want more than the current tune is giving you.
