What size are the injectors that come with the stage 2 Whipple for a 2018? How far can the port injection/DI system be pushed on pump gas with some octane booster? I know there are some variables. The vehicle has headers and FFE and will be tuned by lund. Just seeing if its reasonable to run a smaller pulley with out of the box parts.

Just stick with the 3.875 pulley. It includes 38lb injectors and DW400 pump. Lund will prolly tell ya not to drop pulley size. I asked when I just did my whipple

Lund and most mainstream tuners aren't going to tune past a certain point with pump. You could pitch octane booster. See what they say.

Pump is unreliable, even with booster (the boost is only as effective as the amount you use and the starting point). Some fuel stations have been caught skimping (mixing lower grade with higher grade) some simply make mistakes and refill the tanks with the wrong grade, then there's the last user issue (the last person to use the pump is more likely to be 87 than premium).

If you wanna push, just bite the bullet and go E85 where you can at least test the quality and get a sense it's okay (and it's much safer)

I have heard of guys going down to 3.625 on pump. Right around 700hp is your max. You will want a BAP and at least 72lb injectors. I wasn't aware kits came with a DW 400 pump?

I made 809 wheel on 93 with one 16oz can of Boostane. Stage 2 whipple, 72lb injector, VMP BAP, 3.65 pulley, full 3in exhaust, headers, no cats. 22° timing advance, 0 knock around 7700 rpm

Nice numbers! Curious what gears you are running in the rear? Your torque looks great.

PBD will tune with Oct booster. I have a 100oct tune. I only use it for racing though. I'm not convinced running 16 or 32 oz every tank is good for the car.

I think as long as you change the plugs and the o2 sensors frequently its fine.

I live in denver, just trying to make up for lost boost. I caved in and bought some ID1050x and with get a separate tune for 104 for the track. Hoping 700 comes easy on pump gas and we will see how far it can go on a 3.5"
