  1. 15-17 Ikon GT500 Bumper Review

They have held up well, but I also don't drive much. Only 9500 miles on the car and maybe 3k of those were with the bumper.
  2. 15-17 Ikon GT500 Bumper Review

The 777 and the Ikon are the same. Fitment around the headlight could have been better on mine...the bumper was barely holding on to one of the headlight tabs.
  3. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

Thanks. This only applies when you replace the fuel pump. I didn't replace the pump; only used a BAP. I believe the newer DW400's have the check valve now, too.
  4. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

Sort of lol. The engine was smoke tested multiple times and the only leakage was around the Whipple TB set screw. Got a new TB and there was no change. The tuner made a few adjustments that finally seemed to settle it out. I would say 85% there. I did read in another thread where intake...
  5. Kooks Long Tubes - Looking to go back to stock

I'm supercharged with catless longtubes and Ford Performance active exhaust and I'm quieter than most of the guys with no supercharger and just catback systems. The difference? A Borla resonator; you can quiet down longtubes without going back to stock.
  6. 15-17 Ikon GT500 Bumper Review

If you scroll down on the first page, there are some pics of how I did it. Used the ford Pony and epoxied some screws on it.
  7. Supercharger Surge Help!

Was thinking - looks like you tried blocking off the right side of the opening and leaving the left side straight through, which I think is the main problem. You want the air to go in and take a 90 degree turn. Wonder if you tried blocking off the left side and keeping 20%(ish) open on the...
  8. Supercharger Surge Help!

So this popped up in my feed and I'm glad it did. I've been battling a low speed surge and startup/idle issues with my 3.0 whipple and had numerous tune updates to try to address it. My MAF readings were all over the place and surprisingly no one ever suggested that it could be my grille. In...
  9. 15-17 Ikon GT500 Bumper Review

Sure. Its 3/4" HDPE. I bought it on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Marine-Board-Hdpe-Polyethylene-Plastic-Sheet-3-4-0-750-Thick-Textured-/143353709199 To make them, I used a track saw to cut the hdpe at a slight taper (I don't recall exactly what it was but it was probably 1/4" to 5/8"...
  10. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

Thanks man. Appreciate the thought you are putting into this. I tried messing with the TP2 voltage more on the throttle body. No luck there. Also got a new tune from the tuner and that made no difference either. I did pay attention to the vacuum and it was around 21.7. In regard to your...
  11. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

Just checked it this morning - 12.55. I was doing a lot of starting and stopping when I took that log.
  12. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

Thanks for the reply and suggestions. I will take some more logs with LTFT in them and try the tests you mentioned above. I did note today that my LTFT were 0 on the ngauge during startup and idle (closed loop). My vacuum at idle is a little over 21hg. I will compare cold to warm. I did a...
  13. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

Yes, I was watching the LTFT during open loop and then when it went into closed loop. Showed 0 the whole time. MAF shows up tomorrow. Will see what happens then go from there.
  14. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

Yeah I'm using the VMP IAT sensor kit that goes into the back of the Whipple (post intercooler). I can run it by the tuner and make sure they are accounting for it. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

Smoke tested the car today. Found one leak at the TB set screw (see video: ). Got excited and thought I had figured it out. Sealed that set screw with some tape and no change. There are absolutely no other leaks. Pumped a ton of smoke in there. LTFT's are 0 during startup and idle. Did a...
  16. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

Thanks. Ill add the LTFT to the logs and grab one tomorrow. When you say the MAF is scaled wrong, is that something that is set via the tune tables, or is it a hardware issue?
  17. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

No, I'm not sure. Assuming the tuner would need to provide that info to me right? I've tried a few more things too: propane test for vacuum leaks everywhere - no change in idle plugged off the ports for the brake booster and purge valve to eliminate those as potential vacuum leaks- no change...
  18. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

Thanks. No codes - never had any misfires. I'll see what I can find. I appreciate the response and will post some other logs.
  19. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

I get that. What does adding more air mean to you as someone who is familiar with tuning?
  20. Help with warm start issue - Whipple

Got it. I do know that when I first told the tuner about this they said sometimes it needs more "air" at startup, so that's what they did. Not sure if that means that he's opening up the tb more or what. Could that be an alternative reason its running lean an startup?
