Hey guys i have a Stage 2 Whipple and a Magnum XL on my 5.0 and had some questions.

I believe im roughly making 680-700 wheel on the 3.875 pulley but honestly not sure. Im active duty and bringing it with me soon to wherever my duty station is (close to sea level) and wondering what kind of setup i could run to make a reliable 800 wheel.

Would the best choice be to pulley down to the 3.725 when daily driving and fuel system/e85 for the weekends/fun? I was trying to read into boost levels with my kit and from my understanding of my setup i shouldnt run any more than 13 psi on 93. Is there any other recommendations to keep my car healthy and daily-able with the setup i have?

If you're going to run e85 just pulley down to a 3.5 (~14psi)

Check with your tuner to see what fuel system they support. You could probably drop one pulley size on pump but you might as well go all out.

On straight 93 octane the stock whipple tune would sometimes see knock. A degree or two here or there, nothing ever major.
I ended up tuning car to cap max timing at 17.5 degrees for 93 and 22 degrees when running e85.

With Kooks 1 7/8 headers, high output GESI cats, and 3 inch AWE touring exhaust I see about 14 psi with a 3.3 pulley.

93 octane at 17.5 max timing and 3.3 pulley hasn't shown any knock. I tested 18 degrees same pulley and I'd start to see a half a degree to degree here and there. Dropped back to 17.5 and no knock after dozens of data logs in all driving conditions over multiple tasks of 93.

On 3.5 pulley with 93 octane and 17.5 max timing car made 659 whp SAE revving to only 7500 rpm.

On 3.3 pulley with e85 and 22 max timing car made 774 whp SAE revving to 7,800 rpm.

Before fuel system, I made 786 whp SAE 819 whp STD on a 3.5 pulley and 22.5 max timing using Sunoco 260 GT plus and was at 87% duty cycle with 95 lb injectors and stock fuel pump.

If you want 800 whp "reliably" , I'd do a FORE fuel system, use e85 from a can/barrel, and get either ID1050 or 1300 injectors. Of course having a MFP crank support and OPG/CS will be additional insurance. For an additional layer of safety and go with ARP head studs, Cometic MLS gaskets, and have rings gapped for boost.

Pulley down to the 3.5 and E85 (really anything above E40) will get you there with the right tuning and injectors that can keep up with the increased demand.
