Does anyone know what pulley size is recommend on an 18 gen 3 Coyote with a gen 5 Whipple? Have OPG&CS, 1 7/8ths cat-less headers, and will be buying a return style fuel system to feed the extra boost with E85. Right now I’m on a 3.875 and making about 800 rwhp on E85 with a dw400,BAP, & 1050x’s. Graci...

Depends.. how big your balls? You could pulley it to the moon and use a griptec if you’re ok with popping it

Maybe better off going to an OD crank pulley. Talk to your tuner. They know best.

On the 6 rib set up still, and ain’t trying to pop it lol. Saw the griptech pulleys were on sale today and wanted to figure what size I should buy. Tuner didn’t respond since it’s after 5pm so was wondering if anyone knew. Was thinking a 3.5/3.625/3.75. So pretty much +1/2/3 lbs More boost over what I have now.

There’s a guy running a 2.85 (I think) griptec on a 6 rib that was on the verge of cracking 8s. You should look for the thread. He talks about belt shredding and what size started to slip.

I’ve run down to 3.625 on 93 and the logs looked ok. I personally wouldn’t leave it like that permanently on 93 though.

Once you do the fuel system, you can run any pulley that your tire and suspension will handle. Anything in the mid/low 3.X" will feel awesome! Pullies are cheap, I went incrementally to see what each one would net.
I now run the 2.85 Griptec and love it. I have not shredded any belts but I also keep fresh ones on it. (Disclaimer: My stock engine is on borrowed time but hanging on)

Damn, how long you’ve been running on that? Also what’s the eta/rwhp on your setup? I was thinking the lowest I’m gonna go is a 3.5-3.625 until I sleeve/rod/piston the engine. Already gonna be high 9s with my setup on a 3.875 pulley so anymore it gets super expensive with safety shit haha

I’m on a 3.25 right now and haven’t had a single issue yet. Griptec is the way to go for sure! Zero belt slip
Yeah I am on the 3.25 pulley pushing roughly 1K whp with the standard Whipple pulley. No belt slip at all. I might be pullying down soon to see what this baby can take.
I'm seeing 15.9 psi right now.

I ended up getting a 3.5 Griptec (14.0psi). Gonna be dynoing it soon and am wondering where I will be. Thinking south of 900whp.

Yeah I dynoed 958whp at 7300rpms and 817 torque at 4500rpms with this setup. This was in 6th gear on a mustang dyno.

3.625” and 20% OD, Gen5 made 980 RWHP. Almost threw the 3.5” on for a 1000K glory pull but just didn’t want to chance the stock engine any further.
