As far as I can tell, my filter isn't touching anything. Just wish I could remove it easier.

I wonder why some of us have the filter touching and some don't.

Glad yours isn't touching Rob. It would be nice to have it come out easier but we can't put too small of a filter in as it would effect the correct amount of air necessary especially with the 132mm throttle body that most of us have. Better off wrestling with it once a year or whatever your timeframe is like.

Maybe our cars are narrower Nick :D Just one of those things I guess.

You can call and talk to anyone there. They will get you to the right resource.

The green filters look slick, anyone figure out a part # yet ?
Scrolling through there list of Green filters this seems to be the closest of to the shorter filter that db252 got. https://www.greenfilterusa.com/store/2382 It's 1/4 shorter than his short filter so it may be easier to remove. The inlet is 6" and db252's from Whipple looked like it was 6 1/8 but that could be just because it wasn't mounted and not completely round at that point.

Here is Whipples new air filter. I wouldn't consider this an easier filter to install/remove as it is only a 1/2 inch shorter and the base is the same. This filter is correcting an issue I had with the original which was rubbing against the ground wires that the tip of the filter was touching and eventually caused it to break creating an electrical havoc with my car. I would advise anyone to check theirs as it will eventually lead to the same problem IF yours is touching.

Here is pics of my ground wire that broke, the filter marks rubbing and my fix plus a shot of how close or what contact is made.

What were the symptoms when driving? Any dash lights?
