Looking for more engine sound. Will this do it?

How much of a performance hit am I looking at?

For street driving this would not be a great options as you hot engine air will get sucked in. I've done a lot of testing on this and in the process built a completely sealed and insulated airbox that only draws air form the front of the grill. My testing shows that with lid of in stop and go traffic it only takes seconds for inlet temps to sky rocket to 160. With lid on it's a much slower rise, and with my complete closed system it takes 15 minutes idling in 80 degree ambient to reach it's max of 100. There are other ways to get engine/supercharger sound.

I’m running the tuner kit (open top) but I took the time to seal it up properly.
The sound is still there, not sure if it’s as loud as what you’re looking for though.
For reference, it’s winter here in Australia right now. I watch the post blower temps like a hawk.
Ambient of 21 deg C today (70 F), IAT showed 33 deg C (92 F) after a few good hits.
This is fairly typical from what I’ve seen over the last few weeks. The absolute worst I’ve seen is about 104 F on the same kind of day after flogging the absolute piss out of it repeatedly. Literally couldn’t drive it any harder without being on a race track.
What pulley are you running?
I noticed a small difference going from 3.75” to 3.625”

3.625 - my AIT are about 10-20 degrees over ambient with the lid on (if I'm moving). Stopped in traffic and when it's hot as mentioned, it creeps up slowly

remove the hood insulation.
I did - this helped quite a bit. I wonder if I should also remove all the plastic stuff around the battery to get more airflow through the hood? I saw some guys doing that

Cruising with my custom closed airbox and ram air to the box I see 2-3 above ambient at the MAF inlet sensor. If I stop for 5 minutes and idle it will hardly move but a degree or 2. Takes a good while to get 15-20 above ambient which shows how effective a true cool fed airbox works.
