No. This kit is designed for people who want more boost than what the kit ships with. Also the harmonic dampener is a huge plus. And finally it looks awesome no matter what size pulley

No. This kit is designed for people who want more boost than what the kit ships with. Also the harmonic dampener is a huge plus. And finally it looks awesome no matter what size pulley

All of this. The 10 rib is more for race applications but for me I'm excited to get the harmonic balancer to kill vibrations. I think this will go a long way towards helping the stock oil pump gear.

any chance if you order the 3.2 you can order the 10 rib to start with and save some money?
I was trying to do that since the 10 rib was anounced and my kit had not shipped yet. Maybe in the future.

I can tell you none of the parts used in the stock supercharger kit are reused. Every part in my 10 rib kit is different than what's in my car right now.

THATS WHAT I FIGURED,,, SO WHY NOT JUST TELL WHIPPLE TO KEEP THE 6 RIB PARTS AND CREDIT TOWARDS THE 10 RIB.. INSTEAD OF BUYING PARTS YOU WONT USE..

Well I don't have anything to do with their research and design nor do I know how much more is involved cost wise.

In the stock SC kit you reuse the factory crank pulley, water pump pulley & alternator pulley so there is a cost savings here.

The 10 rib kit has an ATI harmonic balancer made specifically for them. Whipple made their own water pump pulley, alternator pulley and tensioner pulley and 5 new rollers and some bracketry.

So, I don't know what to tell you but...........
