There are several and it depends on who will do your custom tunes and which one they use. I suggest to first find out who you want to handle your tuning needs and then ask them what they use.

Well, I will have a Roush tune and can't mess with that so question is moot, now.

Roush tunes are everywhere and can be modified, improved upon.

Well, I will have a Roush tune and can't mess with that so question is moot, now.
The good news is that Roush does provide updates to their tunes from time to time. The bad news is that you can't load the tunes, yourself. Roush does pay the shop to do it but it is not as convenient as doing it yourself.

If this question was asked 1 year ago, the answer would have been easy.
N Gauge!. But since they are no longer supported, I would image most shops are using SCT devices.
But like was said above, ask the shop that you want to use and see what they use.
