These are the 2 options I have narrowed my search down to also.

Both good choices, I kind of like the good amount of gained Tq that is seen w/ the Kenne Bell. But, I know from past experience that the Whipple has excellent quality and fitment.

Have not seen any KB units here in RI yet......

Torque is all in the tune, we can both make the same torque. Custom tune vs production tunes are different.

To increase torque, you have to increase cylinder pressure. In our durability testing, we found that it could detonate heavily in these area's, especially when lugging a gear and therefore our cal has been tested through all those area's. We lower actual cylinder pressure with the cam control to help eliminate detonation. The aftermarket tuners can certainly enhance these area's depending on customers demands and driving habits. In the end, you will see they will be right next to each other.

Is this why we see some many low TQ numbers on dynos? When I say, "low", I mean the HP may be at about 650HP and the torque may be at like 545 lbs of TQ.
(Not saying those are bad numbers, just using them as an example.)

A well known Roush dealership just added a dyno video from a 2015 RS3 car and it showed 697 HP and almost 500 lbs. of TQ at the wheels. Whether it's believable or not, is another question.

Thank You!
I've been following the KB through Boost Works, so I am probably correct to assume that they are getting the higher Tq because they are using a custom tune?

I suggest you look at Whipple custom tuned cars. Or better yet call KB and or BoostWorks to ask detailed questions.

Roush claims 670 ENGINE HP on the Stage 3 vehicle so its extremely unlikely. Especially since the 47lb/hr injector can't actually make 697 RWHP. So maybe they are saying 697 using a higher factor for loss.

They are estimating 697 to be flywheel horsepower. It had 606 RWHP and 492 RWTQ.

I totally agree.
Here is the video I am talking about.
Yes, I stand corrected. That was 697 crank HP and 566lbs. TQ at the crank. I re-watched it just now. :headbonk: :headbonk:

Not possible on pump gas with the 47lb injectors. Can't flow enough fuel.
