I've been running the FRPP unit, but last year at Memphis I got a huge spy hunter plume of white smoke coming off the long sweeper. Thought for sure the engine was scattered, but turned out the FRPP reservoir was full and had dumped a load of oil into the intake. I emptied it this time and cleaned the lines before VIR on Monday, but just checked at lunch and see oil in the hose heading to the intake from the separator. WTF? Anyone else have issues with the FRPP separator on road course? Thinking it may be fine for the street, but marginal on the track (the kind with curves.)

Been very happy with my Bob's separator. Very easy to empty, no disassembly required, and performs as well as the JLT.

Not very often. It filled up very quickly when the car had < 1500 miles on it. When I emptied it before the track on Monday, there wasn't much in there. What I'm trying to say, but not doing it very well, is that there seems to be oil getting through the separator even though it's not full, but maybe a function of various g-forces on track.

I have the Bob’s separator on the passenger side and the UPR clean side separator on driver side. I’ve found the car has significant oil passage on the driver side and into the intake tube/filter without the separator. That is where i would look next - for road course use both sides need to be addressed (in my experience).

I love this place. You know I hadn't even thought about the driver side.

Under hard core road racing and HPDE events you will push oil out because of the excessive windage at high RPM. It also has a simple return line back to the pan.

Have run a dozen or so track events with my 16 with FRPP, about 12K miles 2 or 3 days usually about an ounce in separator I use a plastic syringe with a vacuum hose to empty so i don't have to take it apart.

I lost a bolt on mine emptying it right before winter so I took it off.

Watson Racing has one too though I think you have to relocate the battery.

Don't forget that the stock GT sump isn't anywhere near as good as the GT350 sump. Ford didn't change the design for no reason. If you're on semis, I'd be very worried about starvation. Just saying. They may or may not have picked this up when they did their testing :ninja:
