Borla ataks are the loudest single catbacks out atm. A lot of vendors try and throw corsa on everyone, they're good, but it's annoying how one sided everyone is. Check out everything.
Louder than my kooks bullets....I doubt it.
I had some stypes in my 12, I hated the note they gave the car.
Swapped them out for a set of magnapacks.

what? I'm clearly talking relative to the 2015, not previous generations.. They are the loudest.

My 15 has kooks bullets, the pos is so loud it makes my neighbors go in doors.
I find it hard to believe a larger muffler is going to be louder.

If borla sounded like garbage in my 12, I am sure it will sound the same in my 15.

Not saying you can't 'have' them on your 15, but I'm pretty sure there is no kooks bullet exhaust made specifically for the 15. Might be wrong.

Anyways, it sounding like 'shit' is subjective, most people love the sound, myself included. It is the loudest system made for the 15. Nobody cares about previous gen systems welded on.

I "have" them on my 15, Kooks round ab's made specifically for 15s......by kooks

Previous gen systems?
Did something special come out for 2015 to not make it a coyote? Its the same motor found in 2011s with minor tweaks. Exhaust setups will sound VERY similar.

There is no way Borla atak is going to be hands down louder than a flowmaster outlaw, magnapack, kooks round, slp bullet, muffler delete.

Lets slow it down a bit.
atak has a muffler body larger than a bullet, in an effort to try and absorb sound to tone down / eliminate drone. Borla is not trying to put out an exhaust system just to be stupidly loud. The atak is a muffler to be aggressive yet civilized.
a general rule of thumb is, the larger a muffler is, the more quiet it will be. Which is why a 2015 mustang atak ab will NOT be louder than a race bullet....tell your friends.

*Borla picture posted to show sound absorbing material. I know that is not a 2015 ab.*

ok. lets just squash this. simply because the muffler body is "bigger" then your Kooks does not mean it is quieter. Corsa muffler is huge! have you seen the thing? and yes, the reason for ATAK is to be stupidly loud. "BORLA® ATAK® (Acoustically Tuned Applied Kinetics) technology is designed for high-performance purists who prefer exhaust sound over their stereos" - taken from the vendor website...
I don't care about your kooks, I don't care about what other exhaust people are running. just don't spread bull around. thank you :headbonk:

Excellent point that the Corsa muffler is large but yet still loud. I had Kooks which is a small muffler on my 2011 with longtubes and an off road x-pipe and my current Corsa'a are just as loud. Smaller muffler doesn't mean louder.

Who said Corsa xtreme was quiet?
Look at the way the Corsa builds their mufflers, thats a straight through exhaust with small vents to remove drone. I love the build! Which is why it will be my next AB.

Borla fills their mufflers with packing material. They also place holes through the inside of the muffler to tone down the exhaust and reduces drone.
That must be bs, everyone knows that borla is the loudest ever because atak.

"a general rule of thumb is, the larger a muffler is, the more quiet it will be."
quoted from you laztug. so if we go by that rule then corsa should be quit right?
now i would be interested to hear how many decibels each put out and then we can really know which is louder.
so we have Kooks Bullets, Corsa Xtreme, and Borla ATAK. i couldnt find any info for any of them regarding decibels.
*Not recommended for highly modified vehicles - that was posted on the Corsa site under the Xtreme. wonder why.

Larger mufflers tend to be chambered which makes them quieter, I think atleast. Also, the S550 exhaust may be louder then previous gen maybe due to lack of bends over the axle like they had? Just guesses.

Borla Atak shouldn't really be called a "muffler" as it is designed to amplify the sound on a car with stock manifolds and catalytic converters. Corsa Extreme is more of a straight pipe with a body to assist with sound and resonance or drone. The reason people always say Atak is the loudest is due to its ability to promote sound. Both of these designs easily defy the theory that bigger casing means less sound. In the sense of what a muffler is "supposed" to do, it would make sense that bigger body means less sound. So throw out that concept when you are dealing with a performance based muffler that is designed specifically to promote sound versus reduce it. If you like loud and are keeping stock manifolds and cats, the Atak really seems to be the loudest. I am not sure about what happens when you remove the cats or change to headers in comparison with each muffler, but as stated for stock systems...Ataks are designed to be the loudest.
