Hey guys I am going to order a borla cat back atak exhaust tonight and was wondering which size I should go with . I don't have any plans of supercharging anytime soon. So should I go with the 2.5 or 3 inch exhaust. What's the difference ?

I went 3" because I knew I was going to do headers and wanted a 3" performance connect with those.

If you are never going to do anything but use the factory connect for a Catback exhaust then no reason to do anything but 2.5".

Just ordered the Borla ATAK today. Considered the S but after listening to my buddies C5 Corvette with ATAK's I went with them.

To be honest I liked it better before I put LT headers and HF Cats on. Nice rumble, no drone.

With the headers and 3" all they way it got way more aggressive, especially cold starts. My neighbors should be glad I go to work at 9am and not 5am, lets put it that way. It still rides with no drone cruising at 2200rpms on the freeway, but any revs above 3500 get pretty raspy now...wasn't that way before the LT's. Knowing what I know now and doing headers I probably would go with a touring now and it would be perfect with my current setup. The 3" is all segmented so I could still do a touring axle back I guess if it ever really got to me.

I could not even imagine how loud my set up would be with an Atak.

I had ataks with lt headers, catless, and it got very loud. I didn't mind it though except for how raspy it became. I will be putting 2.5 s type on today. can't wait

svtfever Let me know how the s type sounds with your LT's. Iam getting ARH 1 7/8 catless long tubes and was thinking of swapping my ATAK mufflers for the s type. I love the borla sound too much to switch.

Aaron, thanks for the order! You should receive tracking for your exhaust later today, you won't be disappointed with your choice IMO.
