I have a 2015 Ecoboost Premium Convertible and the AC blows partially from defrost and partially from vents. Which Actuator controls the airflow? Temperature is fine Just curious if it is one of the 2 easily accessible actuators (driver/passenger) or the 3rd which is not so accessible. Followup, when I replace, do they need to be set in a particular way to activate or will they auto adjust when installed and plugged in?

On my 2015 Vert, I have the premium interior package, so you can control the AC to blow in the center vents, defrost, or heater vents. I just pick the vents I want from the HVAC controls.

I have my AC on center and heater vents.

problem is- the AC is only blowing partially thru defrost and vent. The flow selection works but air only comes from these 2 sources, I cannot get just vent- floor or defrost

OK...I am not expert. However, I referenced pages #102-#104 of the Owners Manual.

https://www.ford.com/support/vehicle/mustang/2015/owner-manuals/

There are two types of HVAC controls...see the pictures to see how to manipulate your system.

Be sure your "recirculation" button is not engaged. Run through the alternatives listed in the manual...if it does not work per the manual, then you have identified a possible problem.

Also, check the airflow coming out. Have you ever replaced the cabin filter. Go underneath, change it and see if there is leaves, etc. in the system that inhibit airflow.

Next, check to see if there are any dangling cables or wires that could prevent an actuator from properly working.

Others may have additional suggestions to help you, too.

Best of luck.

I know of what you speak. When I select vents ONLY I get some air from the defrost and floor vents. When I select floor ONLY I get some from the defrost vents. When I select defrost ONLY I get air from the defrost vents only.

I would like to fix this too.

Any help?

Really sucks on humid nights, my windshield fogs up unless I turn off the A/C

Are they worked by vacuum? If so, check your dashboard vacuum gage for leaks?

I wish I could help you more but would love to hear about the solution.
