I would 100% recommend placing the sub in that cubby hole on the fender well. Either custom or prefab, it allows for full use of the trunk, which I have needed several times since installation. You won't get windshield cracking bass though.

If you are talking about the JL sub and box, I had to wait 8 weeks in Dec 2020 and I'm only one state over from where they build them lol.
