I want something that'll make for a good tourer, but will also perform well at autox and track days.

Think Koni will make a "best of both worlds" setup?

In my experience, Koni makes some great shocks that fill the dual purpose role well.

I ran Ground Control Coilovers which used custom valved Koni's in that same role on my 2009 car in STX/STU for autocross and loved the way the car handled and road. I'm confident they aren't as fast as a set of MCS or Penske dampers but they are also half the price. If I had 85% the performance of an MCS or Penske damper with the twin tube Koni's in the GC setup, that's plenty given the price point.

That said, KW also makes some great streetable coilovers too. I went with GC over KW because GC gave me options (and camber plates) in the setup whereas KW gave me a fixed point to work from.

Koni is going to be test fitting very soon. I am trying to make a deal on a car this week so I can be one of the test mules.
