As I understand it, the way Ford has been handling GT350/R orders has been a bit unusual, what sort of timeframe have people experienced when their dealership has submitted an order to Ford taking it in and us being able to track it?

I was told I wouldn't be able to track my car until it goes into a build cycle but not sure if that's entirely true based on what I've read here.

Enlighten me! :)

Ordered June 21, 2015. Car was delivered just before New Years. Couldn't track anything till 3-4 weeks before delivery.

What they told you is essentially true. No apparent progress until it moves from UMH to UC. In my case, my order went from UC to Scheduled in a few weeks. Once scheduled, it was trackable.

You can ask your dealer what quarter his slot (the one they sold to you) is scheduled. All allocations are assigned an initial quarter for scheduling purposes. Note this is preliminary, then reality happens. Mine was a Q1 order and was finally scheduled and started on 3/31 (last day of Q1). Ordered Aug 5. Also depends on how much pull your dealer GM has with ford Zone Rep to get allocation scheduled. Mine apparently has zero pull.

Good luck, but learn to be patient. :headbang::cheers:

Same here, guess that's the perils of dealing with a small dealership. On the bright side, I know they have the allocation and I got mine at MSRP. :D

You need the Order Number and Dealer Number which you can get from your dealer. Once you have a VIN it's even easier but it took four weeks of my order just to have a VIN.

That with your last name and the website www.qa.cotus.ford.com

Enjoy

Wow, that really is a torturous if you have to wait that long in limbo to get any substantial updates, not at all like the BMW tracking system.

So all I really have now is something that looks like a long credit card receipt detailing my order but none of the apparent numbers seem to work on the cotus site (which I've been trying for the past few weeks!)

Lotus never worked for me during the entire ordering process.

I believe it was still in trial runs last year and I know the GT350s were not in the system. Mine was built in January and cotus never had anything

You can start tracking anytime as long as you have a order #, dealer code , and name on order. Easier if you have the VIN #.

Call Ford Performance (option #1) and give them your order number and dealer code.

800 367-3788. Call maybe once a week so as to not pester them. I usually get Isaac, he is a really nice guy.

My R is still in UMH (unscheduled material hold).
