They obviously want all of this current shipment to be released at the same time so that it has the most impact with the public.
Ian.
Both PARSIFAL and FIDELIO shipments I suspect. Yes lets not worry about customer satisfaction. You guys on the east coast must be well pissed by now with it being 2 weeks today since PARSIFAL unloaded.

I'm reminded of a November 19 message from Ford and bolded the laughable section ... "Hi Greg, a decision was made recently that will see all cars for WA being unloaded and quality checked in Freemantle. This should get cars to customers quicker. All cars for other states will be unloaded and quality checked in Melbourne. As advised earlier we have a team of people trying everything to get Mustangs to customers as quickly as possible. This decision is part of the commitment to finding new processes in order for this to happen. All the best, ^JS."

Hope there was no bonus riding on that teams KPI's !!

Just got a call from my dealer he informs me that the 23 mustangs are still sitting at the holding yard on Grogan rd near the airport and not looking to be released till the end of the week maybe next Monday.
He rang the state manager for a please explain and was given the standard answer every dealer is ringing him and that the mustangs needs a software update and a computer reprograming.
Sounds like BS

New processes?

One would think that they'd never delivered a new car before.

Well spotted Ian. !! Oh and did I mention that Ford Au will let dealers know this week the "release date" for their customers Mustangs. I suspect this means they will hold all Australian releases up until the same day (Unless you work for 3AW)

This crap is really starting to wear thin. :paddle:
It is... I can't believe its mid December and still no cars have been delivered (with the exception of the 3AW press stunt...). These cars were built in August!

I didn't think it was possible for Ford to further delay these cars... What was the point of the 'extensive' up-fitter process if Ford is still needing to do detailed QA on the cars once they've arrived in Aus?

I'm starting to think I won't see my car until the new year...

I am thinking the same thing and getting pretty :censored::censored:. To keep our cars for another 3 working days to do a software update is total BS. So next time the car needs a software update Ford will take it off us for 3 days ?

I call foul umpire !!

I wonder what odds on this being the software update to disable line lock... There most likely wasn't enough time between building the cars and shipping them to allow them to update the software

Maybe they are re-engineering all motors to turn the opposite way because we are in the southern hemisphere.

All the delays are at a pretty unbelievable level now aren't they?

I agree re bending the plate mate.

I've gone with the Sto-N-Sho in the absence of anything else that appeals to me. At least if I want to change it later I just undo 3 screws and it looks like it never happened. This image shows what it will look like.

But at this rate as one of the SA guys suggested we won't be seeing any cars until after Christmas.
We have the option of the slimline plate for the front of the car in Queensland, Greg, and also in NSW from memory. This plate would fit quite comfortably, height-wise, in that main crosspiece of the front b/bar. With those mounting plates that Wil is trying to organise they should look great, epecially in my case where the car is race red and the plates are black with white lettering.
Ian.
