Wheels and tires without spacers or offsetting

I've been to events that did not allow spacers but most are OK with them provided they are slip-on spacers, over studs that are long enough to go all the way through an open ended lug. I don't think I've ever seen a car on track that was running positive camber or even 0 camber, it's always negative. Are you sure you're reading the rules correctly? What, exactly, does it say?

They're just trying to keep the tires inside the fenders. I've been to events where people showed up with cantilevered slicks sticking out 2" past the fender, might as well be open wheeled at that point.

Apex Wheels will be happy to sell you some 19x11” wheels that will fit 305 wide tires under out fenders (when appropriate camber is used).

You can either get square rotatable ET52 setup which works well when 25mm *slip on* spacers are used with extended front wheel studs. (Which is what most people do because slip on spacers are normal for track cars, its the bolt on spacers that are dangerous)

OR they can sell you front/rear specific wheels which are ~ET26 in the front and fit with the stock wheel studs and no spacers, you’ll just have to pay extra to dismount/rotate tires on the rims if you want to even out tire wear front to back.

Apex wheels have a great reputation and cost is very reasonable for such a high quality product.

If you warm up to slip on spacers, there are other cheaper 19x11” ET50 options which will work for you from SVE and MRR as well.

Generally, the standard max for a square no spacer setup is a 10" wheel with 35-40 offset. This works for up to a 285mm tire.

I have heard of up to 10.5" wheels, and 295 tires working square with no spacers. But off the shelf options are very limited, and your margin of error is small.

Take a hard look at wheel & tire selection before choosing 18 or 19".

There are 11" wide options that fit, but will not be a rotatable square setup. OP didn't specifically say it had to be that, but there have been several posts showing both options (square rotatable w/ spacers & square non-rotatable w/o spacers).

Been looking for this awnser right here. Now one more question. Will a 295 or 305 work for a staggered setup with the 10 wheel with the above offset or does the offset need to change slightly?

275 or 285 on a 10” wheel, 295 on a 10.5, 305 on an 11”. If you go wider than that you may need to may attention to tweaking the offsets, yes, and you wont be getting full intended width of the tire if its mounted on a narrower wheel than the above. You can’t just squeeze a 305 on a 10” wheel and call it a day.

Got it. I'm looking at the Carroll Shelby CS-14 in the chrome powder. Debating on staggered or square, probably staggered. 20x9.5 40mm offset 275/35/20 and 20 x 11 305/35/20 50mm offset.

ive been reading these comments and am confused. American muscle wheel chart says that a 10.5" wheel can fit a 275-315 tire. I see people stating you need an 11" rim for even 305's.
I purchased 9" for front and 10.5" for rear to put on either 305 or 315's in rear but now im confused.

You’d *like* to have a 11” (or wider, even a 12”) wheel for a 305 tire, but yes you can squeeze most 305 tires onto a 10.5” wheel. Maybe even a 10” wheel, but you arent getting the most out of the tire contact pach when doing so.
