I have spent the last four hours searching the majority of the topics here and can’t find what I’m looking for. If I have overlooked something please let me know.

I have a 2019 GT premium with the 20x9 inch rims. They came with 265/35/20. I would like to increase the size of the tires, but I do not want to use spacers or have to offset them. I understand I may have to increase the actual rim with width and I’m even okay with going down to a 19 inch.

So my question is, how large can I go with either 20 inch or 19 inch rims without using spacers? 295? 305?

I'd strongly advise against going larger than 275 on a 9" wheel. 255 and 265 are your best fit options. Anything larger will bulge and will make handling suffer.

Buy 11" wide wheels if you want to put a 305 on. The widest you can practically fit on the S550 is 315 in the back, 305 front. You can safely do 305 all around with +24-26 front and +50-52 rear offset, 11" wide wheels. A rotatable option is the +50-52 offset wheel all around with 1" extended front studs and a slip on, 1" hubcentric spacer. You'll need front camber to be at least -2 up front for it to not poke significantly.

Thanks, but I specifically said I do not want to use spacers or have to offset.

Do you understand what wheel offset is? You're not getting a wider wheel and tire on without a different wheel offset.

I don’t mind if the wheel is built with an offset. But I do not want to use standalone spacers.

Why wouldn’t the 305 work on a 19x11? Also, when looking at new wheels, where would I find the ET at?

The first offset combination I listed is if it were built into the wheel.

Now that depends. If your drag racing, sure. If your autox or hpde then a squared setup is superior.

Slip on spacers + extended studs is mechanically no different than a different offset wheel on the front, and then you can rotate wheels.

What? I've never, ever heard of anything like that. Assume whoever told you that is wrong. Maybe you mean camber bolts? Frowned upon but I've never seen them not allowed. Camber plates are needed to get the right amount of camber for proper handling anyway, and just so happens pulls the top of the tire under the fender.
