Posting here since it’s not on the mustang. I have a 2002 F150 4WD. Ever since I put larger wheels and tires on it, when looking at the truck straight from the rear, you can easily see that the left wheel sticks out further than the right (the left side is the one that looks better). Probably to the tune of ~10mm or so. It’s been driving me bonkers for years. Axle is square, never wrecked, and I even tried moving the bed around on the frame to compensate. If you look at this body style with stock size wheels/tires it’s not so noticeable, but it’s still there. A trait of this body style.

Can I stick a 10mm spacer on that one (right) side to bring it outboard symmetrical with the left? What are the cons of doing this to one side? Guessing for only 10mm stock stud style should be long enough? Thanks guys.

Is there no way to loosen up the axle mounting components and shift the axle over? You only have to get it to move 1/2 the distance ~ 5 mm, which is a pretty small amount. I would avoid a wheel spacer if you ever use the pickup for hauling anything or take it off road and use the 4WD. If it's just a commuting vehicle the wheel spacer should be fine.

Its pretty normal for the front and rear axle of a 4x4 to be slightly offset from each other.

@Hack ...i haven’t tried it, but inspecting it, I just don’t see where I’m gonna get any lateral play. But, it’s probably worth a shot.

@Dusten ...I’m not comparing rear to the front, only comparing where the wheel/tire sits in relation to the bodywork from left to right.

I understand that. The axles of a 4x4 are often not centered. It allows them tires to track slightly off from each other.
