I got a set of winter wheels and tires from a buddy. They do not have sensors in them at all. I did confirm this by running the calibration setup, but the tool wouldn’t pick up anything.
It is randomly giving me sensor readings. We thought it was picking up the original sensors in my stock tires (despite being in my apartment 3 floors up). But the psi it is picking up changes, so I don’t think that’s it. Some thought it was a car near me, but I park mostly by myself with the closest being 8 cars away.
To note, it stops reading the sensors roughly 20 miles from my house. It alerts me at the same spot every day on the way to work. That alert will say tire monitor system fault. When it is picking up readings, it will only say tire sensor fault when one tire isn’t picked up. It is always the front driver in that case.
I’m just confused what it is actually picking up.
