I tend to think they clash pretty hard with the styling of the S550. I thought they were perfect for the S197 given just how much retro styling that generation had going for it. That's not to say I think they look terrible on the S550, but on a car that's been given such sleek lines it feels like it unnecessarily breaks up that design.

I saw a few S550's in at the car show with side scoops. A few different styles were on display, but the one that I liked most was the Roush. I know these are for pure aesthetics. I'm torn because I've always made my choices based on function over form, but they remind me of my 68 GT. Be brutally honest.

they're stupid because they are fake. its no different than ricers putting fake chrome vents from autozone on their fenders.

it doesn't look like shit, i just don't like the fact that they are fake.

To me, they look really dumb. If I'm going to do something just for aesthetics, it might be a stripe. It definitely won't be a piece of dead weight that adds aero drag to my car.

They’re not my thing but everyone has different tastes. It’s your car and if you want to add side scoops then do it. Customization is a personal thing.

Personally, unless they're functional scoops, it's just another piece of add-on.

I’ve had the same opinion over the years of side scoops and hood scoops. Never liked them unless they were functional. I was on the fence when I ordered my 21 GT/CS. However, now that I’ve had them for a year they’ve grown on me. If I bought a base GT without them I wouldn’t have added them. I plan to keep them on since they’re part of the package look.

I'm a fan of the rear window scoops, but the side scoops look off to me unless the hood also has a scoop. Maybe that's because I'm used to seeing the side scoop on Roush supercharged cars, though.

If non functional, scoops or vents are silly.

But it can look cool. So you do what you want imo.

But they are silly.

As soon as I bought my '19 GT/CS, I ordered Foose upper 1/4 scoops matched in KONA Blue to compliment the factory lower QTR. scoops. Sorry they are hard to see, this was at a Charity for Children under the lights at the Las Vegas Speedway- 7 laps 1 1/2 mile oval.
