Yep. Whatever it is, it is not used on an M6. Mine is vacant.and redundant on the M6
Not sure what or who u talking to.I guess you are an M6 car ?
I believe it is used on the A10, and redundant on the M6
Yours looks like it might have been disturbed though (maybe just for the photo ?), mine is mounted / secured - best picture I have that captures it :

Lol. Hes talking to you. Zoom in on the fuse box in the photo and you'll see that the connector is secured by some sort of mounting attachment. Yours doesn't appear to have the mount any more. ;)Not sure what or who u talking to.
Oh my bad, i see what you mean. The thing is everything runs normally & I'm wondering if it matters to plug it in.. but it's bothering me not able to tell what is it for. Would you mind check where is that connector that my mystery connector plugged to? I wonder if its wire coming out the fuse box or which harnesses?Lol. Hes talking to you. I've got the 10R80, so my connector is used. Can't tell what harness is involved - wires from both sides of the connector go into the same harness just below the connector.Oh my bad, i see what you mean. Same place and condition, yes. Occasionally I take a paperclip and short out the pins while the engine is running. Is yours look the same as WD Pro?
Nothing yet.
. JK.Thank you very much, yes mine is MT82, it make sense now. Yes planning to cover it & mount it somewhere, just wanted to make sure before I do that.I've got the 10R80, so my connector is used. If I were you I may try to replace the missing mount bracket and/or cover the open connector with something to keep dirt and moisture out of it and not worry. It seems that this is normal for non-10R80 cars.

Yah i guess so, i remember friend of mine when he swiped from auto to stick on s197 he had to replace the whole harness & PCM. I guess Ford now decided to have 1 harness for both trans just in case lol .Same place and condition, yes. Occasionally I take a paperclip and short out the pins while the engine is running.Nothing yet.
. JK.
You can imagine the Engineering, labor and cost of building these harnesses. Ford and others will make one harness for everything, then use only what they need.
It would seem for M6-type cars, the plug is a leftover.
