Never paid much attention to it, but it caught my eye today. Attached to passenger side fuse box.

Idiot plug. Unplug it if you like doing dumb stuff.

It disables all traction systems.

It looks disconnected? The port it’s technically “plugged into” isn’t plugged into anything from the looks of it. My traction system is still on.

Never mind. That is not the nanny plug. I just went and looked. I have zero clue what that is.

I'm not sure what it does but it should have a mate stuffed down in there somewhere. Id look for the mate and re-connect it. That many wires have gotta be important.

In honor of Mission Impossible, please don't cut the RED wire!

I believe there is another thread on this same plug. If I recall correctly (might not, I’m old) the autos have something plugged in there and the manuals don’t. (Or vise versa, again, old, memory is t what it used to be. 😂

In the pic below it looks like the Powertrain Control Module...but then, I would think if it wasn't hooked up you'd be having something not operating correctly.

Mine looks like the photo that CrazyHippie posted. Is your vehicle equipped with a Manual Transmission? Mine has the auto trans.

Yep. I'm a 10R80 auto too.

Do one of you guys have active cruise control and the other doesn’t?

Some people (smarter than me) in the other thread about this plug kept comparing options and figured it out. If it’s not the 10r80 vs manual, might be ACC.

I do not have the ACC on mine. I do have the premium package which may have options prompting need for those circuits. Here are some of the options that I found were included in my year's premium package.

The GT Premium includes power-adjustable leather seats with heating and cooling as well as an optional dual-zone climate control. It has Ford's Sync 3 system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a built-in WiFi hotspot
