What tire set up are you guys running on a fi set up ? Right now I'm running a Toyo 275/35/20 . I am also have a 1.5 inch drop. Wheels are 20×10 on a staggered set up . I am running a stage 2 procharger with a 18 manifold . Everytime I get into boost it blows the tires off . Fun but I would like to hook up .

I run 305 nitto NTo5R's out back. Theyll still spin on the street. But hook good at the track with a good burnout. Nitto & Mickey thompson both offers a nice 20 inch drag radial.

I got 305/35/19 Nitto NT05R's myself. I'm just over 700whp with whipple stage 2. I'll spin first and top of second at about 6500rpm but it'll dead hook in 3rd

Great tires IMO, don't expect them to last long though

Im probably going to go with potenza s007 315 35 20 when I get new wider rims. Had them on my 2011 and they were great on the street, actually they broke my mt82.

I swear by the Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S. May not be a good idea if the Mustang is your only car but they're GREAT tires.

Agree with the MT street ss in 17 in size.Ran at the track with them this weekend and ran a 9.8 with a 1.45 60 ft.Hooked perfect with no spin on a high 700 whp car.Also.hooks great on the street as long as its no.cold outside.

I’m also in the market for a good street tire. Whipple Stage 2 on an 18 is just silly on the stock pp1 tires. 3rd gear is hopeless, while usually 4th hooks. My issue is the car is a true commuter so wet performance and a 10k mile life is required.

I'm in the same boat as far as street performance is concerned. Posting so I get notifications

I've got the Roush Phase 2 and I've tried the Firehawk Indy 500's and these have been great for me, they hook well, priced very well.
They've lasted me around 8000 miles and they still have good tread left!
Granted, whenever I go to the track I switch out the tires and wheels for drag tires.

Just something to look into!

Ditto. Except getting the 8000 miles part lol. I'm at like 5000 miles and will maybe get another 1000.

If your looking for a street tire, MPSS/MP4S is about the best you can get.

Well first off you CANT have your cake and eat it to!!!
Either you want a tire that will hook, or you want one that last and works in rain.....those two things do not co-exist.
For a tire that will hook there is none better than the MT Street S/S. I can dead hook it on the street with 800 rwhp.
Im running 19 x10s on the rear with 305/35/19's MTs and Nitto 555's on front.
For an all around good tire that will get you dry/wet traction and wear well (not goin to hook on a FI car) then the MPSS/MP4S are about the best option.

I know what you’re getting at but compromises can be made. For instance, the mpss/mp4s have 300 treadwear ratings. I’d be willing to live with 100 if it was safe in the rain and had better traction. The proxes r888r, for instance, has a treadwear of 100.

I had MPSS in 295's on my 2011 and currently have MP4S on my 2018 , Potenza S007 315 35 20 are better. They are also taller which helps reducing gearing helping with traction, and they fill the wheel wells out better. Ive also had potenza s001 , BFG Rivals, and others.
