So for the last 4 months or so i've been dealing with Ford's re-acquired vehicles team due to a lemon law case that I was approved for after I had a piston shatter. The dealership and service department all agreed that it had nothing to due with aftermarket anything so lets get that out of the way right now.
Anyway i ended up in a situation now where they're replacing my vehicle based on MSRP to MSRP and keeping my existing loan and just replacing the VIN on it. I have roush stage 1 ecoboost so that roush package brings my MSRP up significantly over a regular ecoboost. This has been nothing but a headache and a half in terms of getting them to accept the fact that the roush package is there and that they do need to compensate for it.
ANYWAY (again) I've been trying to get myself into a 401a gt premium performance pack roughly $2000 I would need to pay out of pocket to keep my regular loan but have a brand new car. unfortunately the car that i looked at was at a dealership that wasnt responding to the trade request from my dealership. the second one was at a dealer in maryland (im in nj) and after a week and a half of getting the paper work from ford RAV and the transportation set up and the trade accepted by the dealer in maryland, they sold it out from under me this weekend.
This process was estimated to take 2-3 weeks and has been going on for 2 months (since i was approved for the lemon law (even longer since the engine blew (january 22 2017)).
So i'm at my wits end now. Every time i need to make an interaction with RAV it takes a week minimum for an update. What do i do?
Should I:
A) Keep chugging along for a GT and just patiently wait it out, possibly demanding that they pay the $2000 difference due to the inconvenience I've gone through
B) Try to get them to pay the difference on a loaded F150 that is at my dealership so i don't need to go through the bs of trying to trade another car
5.0L
C) Option B with the new 3.5L Ecoboost
D) Fuck it. Fuck them. Lawyer Up.
Feel free to throw in your own Option E) Other.
