most bolt ons you don't need a tune, just a catless downpipe will need a tune that knows the cat has been removed, you don't want to remove the cat without a tune.

So you can tune then add bolt ons or vice verse except for downpipe

Tune and downpipe. If we can be of any help with either just let us know.

Our OR downpipe is very poplular and affordable.

Is it just because there's a chance of a check engine light? Or do other things happen?

backpressure is reduced and can cause turbo to surge, its just a general rule of thumb for turbo cars to have a tune take into account the removal of a cat, and yes so you can turn off the pesky cel that usually pops up as well.

Bad part about removing cat is it makes exhaust much more louder/smoke/illegal/fuel smell, makes it pita getting an inspection sticker sometimes. Some companies have hi flow cats so you can swap out the stock cat but ive seen data to prove they don't help much in the power department.

Tune > FMIC > Downpipe > Cat-back > Intake > Charge Pipes. That's what I'd recommend in that order.

Flip CAI and charge pipes and I agree. I saw and felt more performance from the charge pipe upgrade than intake.

Which charge pipe kit did you go with?

It was more the FMIC then the pipes themselves. Our car still has stock piping/hoses on it and the FMIC made the biggest difference due to lower temps. IAT2 temps drop alot.

Tune for sure. Add bolt ons afterwards.

I am exact opposite of everyone apparently, bolt ons, then tune. you don't show up and get a tune then add a bunch of parts. You get a tune based around your build.

It comes down to personal preference. I went tune first. When I add my bolt ons then I will have my tune modified to suit my parts.
