What number did the sequential VIN's start?

My Gt arrives Thursday (according to Cotus), and its VIN sequence number is 321616. I know its not the 321,616th mustang built....usually the sequence number starts at 100,00, 200,000, something.

Anyone know? Curious to get an idea what number mustang mine is...and would help others who are curious.

Mine is 320848 ...Maybe the 848th Mustang built?

Sequence numbers started at 300001 for all production model year 2015 Mustangs except the Limited Editions. They are sequenced from 500001 to 501964.

Preproduction units have sequence numbers with 29xxxx.

The digit in the VIN immediately before the sequence number, "5" for the Mustang, means the vehicle was produced at Flat Rock.

Around 30,000 2015 Mustangs have been scheduled so far.

The sequence numbers do not reflect the order the vehicles are built. They are assigned after all orders are pulled for a given scheduling week. That is why you will see the sequence numbers assigned to a specific dealer in a given scheduling week all in order with no gaps.

Cars are NOT built in vin order. Example. My LE is #275. Was 80th one built. Was built before car number 1

Ok, then, follow up question: Any way to see what "order" they were built in? In other words, what "number" is my car? I'm sure Ford knows....but getting the info on the streets might be the issue.

There's a four-digit blend sequence number on the window stickers, but I don't know if it's tied to a particular build week or if it just goes to 9999 and starts over. :shrug:

The first 2015 Mustang was auction off for Charity and had the first VIN# assigned. The last 6 numbers of the 17 digit VIN began with 300001

Guess we're a little over 30,000. I got my VIN 2 weeks ago and my sequence number is 332772. Any difference on sequence numbers from coupe to convertible? Mine's a convertible.

Over 40,000 scheduled now.

Convertibles are scheduled using the same sequence as the fastbacks (numbers are intermixed). If the 2014 model year is an indicator, any GT350s built in the 2015 model year will use the same sequence as well.

My 2015 Mustang Convertible Base V6 A/T was assigned VIN # 332068. Being that close, hopefully we will have our "Verts" delivered within a few days of each other.
