I have a 2020 ecoboost premium and I want to know what this piece is called because mine broke off and seems to me that no one else knows

It looks like the TC plug with a jumper plugged in to likely prevent the TC/ABS light/codes from setting.

It's a factory supplied jumper ... my 2015 GT has the same thing.

Yes, it's the jumper wire for disabling traction control. If you are putting the car on a dyno, disconnecting this plug prevents the traction control from kicking in since the front wheels wouldn't be rolling while the rear wheels would be. Disconnecting it turns on a light or two on the dash, and will set an abs code. On mine (2016 ecoboost) plugging it back in turns off the lights. Some folks have said they needed to clear the codes after plugging it back in.

can't you disable TC with the dash switch?? seems kind of unnecessary to use a jumper, no?

I have a sneaking suspicion that TC is never truly off via buttons. Just turned down.

True it's never turned off completely unless you unplug that harness. Not sure what the trunk item pictured is.
To the best of my knowledge the traction control disconnect is under the hood next to the air filter box.

Maybe it varies by YM.

The photo in post #1 is by the airbox ...can see the side of it.

I know guys remove this jumper when they do dyno runs so the TC doesn't throw codes because the rear tires are spinning and the front tires are not.
