What was the advertised wow price on the one you're looking at?Right now I'm at $34298
$29990 but unfortunately I can't do nothing because I am stuck with a 2014 Fusion lease. I think I'm gonna try out swapalease...What was the advertised wow price on the one you're looking at?
Yep, this worked for me as well. Just be polite, tell them you're traveling to pick up the car but wanted to give them a chance first. In my case, it was the smaller dealer who did it, but they sell a lot and are known for best prices being just outside of a major city.
Also, in YOUR area, check AutoTrader.com and cargurus.com. Dealers will post best prices. I found dealers one state away so driving to Koons would not have been necessary.
Those are amazing deals! I am at $39k with 0% financing OTD. I might consider traveling to SC or Florida to get that deal.I just picked up a 2016 GT Premium with Performance Pack, Navigation, Perimeter Alarm, and Reverse Park Assist.
MSRP: $41,275
I paid $36,900 out the door with 0% financing over 60 months. They beat Koons Ford by nearly $2,000 on the price of the car and by over $4,000 on my trade. They actually kept the $750 rebate and still gave me 0% financing.
I did have a trade that got me slightly over KBB, which was just icing on the cake.
If anybody is interested in how to get such a low price just find a car on Koons Ford's website and add $750 into the price or leave it if you don't want 0%, then add $900 freight, and $599 doc fee to their internet price and contact every dealer in your state that has the car you want and see who will beat it or match. I found the smaller dealers will laugh at you, but the higher volume ones with more inventory are more willing to work with you. The only other obstacle is not letting them screw you on trade or interest rate if you don't qualify for 0%.
I went to Sarasota Ford for anybody interested.
Hopefully this helps somebody!

Yes!Those are amazing deals! I am at $39k with 0% financing OTD. I might consider traveling to SC or Florida to get that deal.
So, you guys actually got under $37k OTD for a MSRP over $41k car? I searched on Koon's website and they are listing at $36k. Plus, freight, doc fee and tax, its gonna be well over $37k. Can you give some break downs on the price?
Thanks!
I don't know what your MSRP or sales tax rate is but here is what I would want if I was getting a base.Right now I'm at $31.1k OTD on base GT M/T. Good deal?
Thanks for the quick and detailed reply! I just got a quote from a nearby dealer and they are offering $37k on a mustang(almost the same as yours, but without the advanced security option). They do require trade-in and financing. They also said the deal ends tomorrow and they are not going to extend it. I think they are just trying to hassle me a deal, but I am still wondering if it is the best deal yet. Or I could wait a few month more and order the 2017 on x-plan.Yes!
It takes some effort, but just use the strategy I mentioned. All I wanted was for a dealer to match Koons and then give me a good trade in value. I forgot to mention that I removed the $900 freight charge from my number when asking dealers to match. Sarasota got damn close and ended up lower than Koons on the car and didn't low ball my trade.
So to recap take Koons MSRP plus $599 + $750 cash and you should have your number. If you want the best deal you've got to put in the time and call every dealer in your state that has the car you want. My dealer ended up giving me the $750 cash incentive and 0% financing to get my price.
I have the final invoice at my house (I'm out of town, but here is the breakdown I received via email) it ended up being about $300 less.
$41,275 MSRP
-$5,447 Discounts and savings
-$750 rebate
$35,078 Vehicle Price
+$325 Accessories (window tint, door guard, and g armor)
+$699 Prep Fee
+$250 License/Title
+$8.50 Tire/VTR
+$850.32 Sales Tax
$37,210.82
It ended up being just under $37,000 because sales tax and a few other numbers changed slightly.
Also take into consideration I saved some money on tax because my trade netted $25,663.

Stupid question, did you drive it back? If so how did it go?I had a very positive experience at Koons. Worth the short trip from Jersey. They significantly beat X-plan pricing and dealer pricing here in NJ. $38.2k, (MSRP $44,115) '17 GT, PP, Equipment group 401A, Enhanced Security, Premier Trim, Voice Nav, Black Painted Roof. Add NJ tax @7% ($3k alone), Destination, Doc and DMV fees and it came in at $42.5k OTD.
Yes, pretty much made the deal via phone and email. Got everything in writing before I went down. Didn't require a deposit. No surprises when I arrived at the dealership. Signed the paperwork and drove it home, all good. Super smooth transaction. I'll say the car was perfect except for a small blemish on a door edge (smaller than a pea) which they took car of before I left.Stupid question, did you drive it back? If so how did it go?
