I e-mailed them, Koon's, about a 2016 GT Auto they advertised for a low WOW price of $28,250 with a $750 rebate. It's all teaser prices.

When I asked for an OTD price (I'm in Ohio) they added on $900 for freight, $599 for processing fee (lol), $2500 Ohio tax, and $280 for tags (another rip off). :tsk:

The total came to $32,550. They said I could finance at 60 months for 1.9% or 72 months at 3.9% but I wouldn't be able to use the rebate. My credit score is in the low 800's.

I know I can find a better deal elsewhere with a better finance rate and without me absorbing the fees.

Good luck!
What? thats way too high, tax rate in Ohio is only about 6% for one thing. If thats the case I might as well forget a premium and get the base one from the local dealer as they are willing to go low 32's, but I think thats before taxes. IDK, even if I had to settle for a base and the one they have, not sure I want the standard wheels and the over the top stripes, plus I noticed a lot of scuff marks on the inside door and trim pieces probably from all the test drives since its their only gt at the moment.

That's a good plan! However, you can only order a 17 model and the bigger discounts will be on the 16. The only caveat about getting a big discount on the 16 is finding the one you want.

I'm sure there will be discounts/rebates on the 17's but it won't be as much as the 16's towards the end of the year.
I also have my eyes on a 16 that matches my specs and price, but I'd have to live with Competition Orange which isn't a bad thing.

Sales tax rates in Ohio vary in some counties compared to the state; Cuyahoga where I am at is 8%. I was more put off by the $999 freight, $599 processing, and $280 tag charges. I feel like it’s false advertising to show the low prices and tack on these costs, but it’s why most dealers are snakes.

When I was looking last Fall at a GT on a local dealer lot I went in on Labor Day to buy the car which was on display at the Brown’s practice facility for a few weeks. It was scratched in so many places I didn’t even test drive the car. They were trying to tell me it would buff out when I have painted cars before and know damn well it would need filler and re-spray in a couple areas. I walked and started looking again now that winter is over.

Hey, at least you got a straight answer from Koons!
I have asked for the fee's cost multiple times and they dodged my question over and over.

Even still, with the fee's, I am 5k under MSRP and $2350 below invoice.

MSRP is $48,070
Invoice $45,348

Build:
2016 RR GT Vert
Performance Pack
401A group
Premium Trim
Luster Nickel Wheels

They ordered the car but I am shopping around now that the '17's are just around the corner. Looking at used '15's as well.
I've looked at used 15's too. I just want a base GT w/ an auto in Ingot, Magnetic, or Guard. Only cars used within a few hundred miles are black or red and all of them are $29,999. I'm not paying that much when I can get a new one for a few grand more.

I called them up. For a BASE 2016 GT out the door BEFORE taxes was $29851. They have it listed at $28,XXX but that is if you are active military AND a student. Then factor in the $599 processing fee and $3 titling which is where I got that number. Gotta figure out a flight from KC all the way to Maryland and then the LONG drive back to see if its even worth the time and hassle. I am under the impression on just to wait. I think good deals will be had the last 2 weeks of December in 2016. Just have to patient which will be tough! :ninja:
Okay, that was wrong. He messaged me back and wants to add another $1050 FREIGHT onto the price. So $30900. :headbonk::headbonk: Funny thing is their website if you scroll down and click on Freight shows freight being $825 for a Mustang.

Also remember, you will probably get a good out the door price if you are financing it through Ford due to interest.

I agree. I was just looking at 15's for a while and they are all high. Realized 16's were a little bit more plus you get that extra year of warranty and close to no miles.

I'm about to pay x-plan pricing on a 2016 GT Premium w/ PP and 400A. The car comes out to 37,732 and I will be getting the $750 off.

After seeing some of the deals on this thread perhaps I should pull the chute on this one?

I picked up a new 2016 EB 2 weeks ago. Base model, no options besides the EB engine and spare tire.

After negotiating for about 40 minutes they accepted my asking price as I was leaving. Frustrating process, the little games that are played. Writing down numbers and doing math on a piece of paper - as if they don't know this stuff cold, or the running off to 'speak to their manager'.

Out the door (total price with taxes, tags, title, freight, etc) was $24,100.

How do you like your seats? I'm debating on getting a base with the Recaros and a couple other options or a "base" premium.

Im 5'10" and roughly 200lbs. I was seriously on the fence about the comfort but everyday it's feeling better. I haven't taken her on a long drive yet but the Recaros with the PP is a great match. Only real complaint is the 3.73. But man when you get her at 3k rpm the power is everywhere.

Just picked up a 16 base GT with 18" foundry rims and back up sensors for $30,300 (before Taxes and fees). Dealer also gave me above KBB for my trade in(slightly underwater). Overall I'm happy with the deal and very excited for new adventures with the mustang

This is my 3rd or 2nd post, I've been on here since June when I purchased my first ever mustang. I went with a guard v6 and I've regretted it ever since. I skipped the GT because my price range would've landed me in a base GT w/ manual transmission (I would've regretted that too). I'm high maintenance and need features and power. I've been looking to get out of my v6 for almost a year now (does buyers remorse usually last that long? If it does, well, you bought the wrong thing my friend).

Anyway, here's my situation: I have the opportunity for a 2016 GT Premium retailing at 41,600. It's my uncles car; he bought it in September 2015. It went straight from the trailer of the delivery truck to his garage. It has 113 total miles and still has the plastic wrapping everything on the interior. He's added an aftermarket exhaust and a few other things. He's selling it to me for payoff which is 33k. I'd have to borrow a little extra to pay down my car so I'd be able to sell it at reasonable price. I'd be looking at total 37-38 and that would include my negative equity and TTL. I'm anxious, and I don't like change. Is this an opportunity I shouldn't pass up??????
