I am currently going back and forth with Koons Ford in Baltimore.

Here is the config:

2016 GT Premium Convertible
Performance Pack
Luster nickel wheel finish
Ruby Red
Ebony Premium Trim
401A package

MSRP $48,070
Invoice $45,534.80

Koons Price $41,500

+ T/T & freight ( Gave me some BS about the freight charge needing to be added in, ok whatever!. It's more about bottom line than how they want to make their cut )

They tried to tell me that they do the tax and it's 2.5% for New Hampshire, which they say they will handle but I would rather not have them do because we don't have a 2.5% tax. It's a split tax deal in NH, ( We have no sale tax ). The state assess on weight and the town uses a mil rate of $18/1000 of retail value.

State: 3001-5000 lbs. = $43.20 (Curb weight of the car is ~3697lbs
Municipal: $18*48.07 = $865.26

So, excluding the tax & title we are at $42,400

I told them I wanted 42,000 OTD ( Excluding T&T )
They said no. $41,500 + T/T & F is their lowest

They put an order in anyway knowing that they can sell it. Apparently the Order banks are "open" still. We'll see.

Not a done deal. I told them that I wanted to finance and I am betting that the price has the $750 to customer money in the quote and it is either/or. I do have a brochure on the way, the one I have expired April 4th and I had to order anyway.

Side-note: TrueCar is now quoting local price for the same config at an "estimated" $43,115. Used to come in $1500 higher.

Take the $750 brochure coupon and we are at $42,365 without traveling to MD.
I think a call to the dealer, I know who they are without committing the deal through TrueCar. The dealer pays Truecar $300 for using the service so if they can get to $42,815 before coupon then traveling to MD makes no sense.

Good times!

Last night I made a deal on a dealer trade for a 2016 DIB GT Premium with performance package. They pulled almost every trick in the book but I got them to a price I was happy with after I walked out and they called me back in. I was driving a hard bargain and they were talking real smooth but all the research I did on this forum beforehand allowed me to really stand my ground. Obviously it wasn't such a bad deal for them as they called me about 10 minutes after I walked out, I think I did pretty good as a first time car buyer. I'm so excited to pick up my new GT next week, it was exactly the combination I've been looking for these past few months!!

MSRP: $40,080
Dealer Price: $36,100
Rebates: $750 Incentive, $750 Customer cash, $500 Student incentive
Sale Price: $34,100
OTD: $36,627 with 2.49% APR
This was in Texas for reference

Hey Zodiac, how do you like the 3.55's? I keep going back and forth as to whether it is worth getting or stay with getting the 3.15. I hear it is suppose to feel peppier, but can't seem to find anyone saying its actually any faster to say 60 or the 1/4. Also how is the mpg compared to one with stock gears?

I get around the same MPG that my 13 GT auto with the 3.15's got. It feels like it's got better low end grunt on take off as well. Overall I enjoy it and think they were worth it. According to the 1/4 mile fast list the top stock cars all have the 3.55's.

The order went in. Cotus shows it. Still need to work out the final cost.
I posted this on another thread but I will post it here as well.
