Went with 235/50/18 Firehawk Indy500s ....1 day in the dry and 1 day in the rain so far. totally different than the pirelli all seasons. Would definitely recommend the Firehawk indy 500s, they are as good as the reviews claim.
someone lost a hubcap as I was merging onto the highway....took it to the rear quarter panel, behind the wheel. Some of it is too deep to remove, but I do want to clean it up/remove as much as I can before I try and touch-up paint. The area is pretty small @ 3-4 inches, 3-4 small scratches.
I...
exactly...I wanted a little wider tire but i dont want 255s if they will cause issues. I either drive on pizza cutters 235s or go with the bulgy 255s and softer steering. I really wish these 18inch foundry wheels were 8.5 wide
Just fishing for some experiences from guys with stock 18inch rims and aftermarket tires. Ive been eyeing the Firehawk Indy 500s and BFG sport comp 2s in either 235/50/18 or 255/45/18...cant really decide on which way to go. Im just ready to get rid of the Pirelli all seasons off the car and put...
Obviously these reduce wheel hop...does that mean you are less likely to snap half-shafts?
I was thinking about taking my 16GT manual with 3.31s to the track on the stock crappy pirelli 235s but im still worried about breaking half-shafts due to the horror stories
I dont have the directions on me, but i believe the bolts from the throttle body to the adapter are 62 ft/lbs...it was a brand new cheap tq wrench so i wanted to gradually walk it up
It was in inch-lbs and i converted to foot lbs...the thing was i never made it past 360 inch-lbs...it was bottom knob was locked in but never clicked. I already placed an order on a $150 digital tq wrench
So now i gotta find where to buy these new bolts
Installing a PP2 with a buddy and had some issues.
Dont ask how but we broke a head off a bolt that connects the gt350 Throttle body to the adapter plate in the kit. We were using a cheap torque wrench and all the setting were good to go...just snapped off. So now im trying to figure where to...
Have not had time to take it anywhere...haven't bothered shopping any other dealerships either. I will probably just show up and try and bargain with the dealership the next time I get a weekday off. $450 is kinda stupid considering it is 2 hours labor MAX
I got the whole CJPP black emblem kit. the rear decklid "GT" emblem seems to be getting ever so slightly worse. I hand wash the car and live in pretty mild conditions. we will see how it goes...I love the way these look, they just dont seem to warrant the $50+ per emblem
