Got confirmed delivery for my new wheels for tomorrow, unfortunately signature required so I don't know if I'll actually get them. Got two tires coming in too to match up with the other two sitting in storage that I luckily/thankfully hadn't put on my departed car quite yet (was going to be that Friday!). TPMS should come Saturday.

Going to see if I can offload the stocks before mounting these at all though, barely have 8k miles on them so far.

did a wire tap of the rear view mirror 12v line to run my radar detector and also my dashcam via a 5v module ...

cracking open a old phone charger which practically i dun use it at all to extract the circuit

opening up the front module unit where the rear view mirror sits... T20 torx to remove the mirror ...

all wired .. and soldered up .. and also shrink wrap in plastic wraps which i use for my RC car batts ... the 3.2mm plug is a 12V line for my radar detector ..

this was the connector to the rear view mirror.. the white is the 12V accessory line , black is the ground .. so basically i wire tapped these 2 lines for 12V , you need a thin push pin to be able release the pins to pull them out ..

mounted back unit .. and all looks good now, no more ugly cables running around the edge of front windshield .. took me about ah hour to do this .. as i had all the parts laying around for this task :) .. dun roast me .. i couldnt find a GT convertible diecast in red.. so did the coupe model on my dash .. it doesnt move .. it has velco on the bottom to stick to the dash mat

Took a sneak peak at my new wheels that got delivered yesterday, these will certainly be a lot easier to clean than my last set was!

These are from Wheel Replicas (although the specs perfectly match with the LMR SVE CFX wheels so I suspect they share a manufacturers) which I noticed a sale on the other day otherwise I was going to hold off on a bit longer to wear out my stocks at least.

yup. Only a handful of plants make them. Eg. MRR's wheels and SVEs on at least certain patterns come off the same exact line. It's just the end-user price that is different.

Figured as much and the "list prices" are identical, but these are currently "36% off" and that makes it appealing for me. The boxes show various dates around November and December 2021 so they may be offloading older stock.

Well I did this today. Finally added a Borla S-Type Cat back exhaust system! It sounds fantastic and is perfect for me!! Posting pics here and on my build page, will post sound clips as well soon.

I'm somehow not dead. Almost 40 hours of driving some of the best roads that exist. What an experience. Also got stopped by a truck fire on 199 south of the Oregon border. Very sketchy since I was one of the first few to come up on it. They dispatched fire from both states at their closest stations and they got there pretty damn fast. Luckily nobody was hurt and a forest fire was avoided.

I'm still not home though lol, I'm in Boise for the night so 5 more hours to go. Can't wait to post up that trip counter, lmao.
