Ran with one of those on the way home from San Antonio today - Loop 130 was frustrating us both. Speed limit is 85 on this toll road around Austin, but there was way too much traffic, and the traffic was going 70-ish for no real reason. He sounded good from time to time, but was about as quiet as me for most of the ride. Booo....

That was one of the decent parts of the drive home today. Had the trip mileage up to nearly 30mpg which would be a new record for this car. Sitting nearly still in Waco for over 20 minutes killed that trend, and a 30mph headwind from a thunderstorm put the last nail in the coffin - ended up a touch over 28. Still, I enjoy the hell out of this car on road trips. Devours interstate like nothing - happy at 80, happier at 90, would probably do 100 all day long if given the chance.

Installed 15 Gallons of 93 octane myself.

Also finally adjusted my trunk. Everything lines up perfectly with tail lights and gaps are somewhat even now.

Who would've known you had to adjust it from the actual latch..

I'm very interested. Can you put a picture of the screws that need to be adjusted?

Was done at a Ford dealership so I would have assumed they could pull this off.


Wrong.....

For more context - the hood is the factory painted. Everything else was repainted but that, the mirror covers, the roof and left fender.


Looking at trading it for this now, but it kind of depends on how much and how fast I can get my diminished value settlement

I'd make them put it right - if the paint job they did was acceptable, just not matching the original, then have them paint the remaining parts so that everything matches - or have them compensate for the loss when the salesman marks it down if he spots the glaringly obvious.

Had alignment done to BMR specs. Other than the smallest possible adjustment to toe, turns out it was already to BMR's specs. Guess I got lucky from the factory and 3 years of use and the CB005 install didn't mess it up (or fixed it).

Was Thursday, but been busy.
