Took a little highway cruise this afternoon and got a little rained on....so had to clean her up.

It's sad and pathetic that it took me this long to finally have to put fuel in it from winter storage....

And it's not far away from storage again.

Is that gray? A wrap? A mirror magically formed around the shape of a GT350? Whatā€™s the yellow vehicle parked next to it? Oh, never mind on that one, the Boss 302 I presume.
This is Magnetic Gray however I do like the formed mirror idea. LOL - Might be easier to maintain the shine. Also that is my Boss lurking in the shadows and shine of the GT350. Good eye to see that in there. Here is a gratuitous shot of the track day Boss.

I just finished getting the Shelby ready for next weekends HPDE at Mid-Ohio.
Including bleeding brakes, removing Z-26 pads & installing FOMOCO factory pads, under chassis inspection, draining oil separator, checking oil level, and putting the CF wheels with the Cup 2's back on the car.
Now I'm just going to say, my own opinion, when Ford put those Cup 2's on the GT-350, that move totally changes the attitude of this car. Really makes me appreciate the cars potential, tramlining & all.
Makes you pay more attention, makes it more "Track Ready" than the Super Sport tires in my opinion.
Oh God this car makes me smile when I'm driving it.

Nasty!!! I wanted a SBY 13 Boss before the 350. Come to road atlanta and let me ride with you. That thing looks the business.

Brakes were squeaking pretty bad under light braking (heavy braking was quiet), so I decided it was time to pull the calipers and pads apart, clean them and add caliper grease.

Figured while I was at it, I'd add some J&M stainless hoses and OPR caliper studs.

Did you notice any difference in pedal feel afterwards?

I'm just curious as to where you happened to use the caliper grease ?
BTW, I like the front Steeda sway bar.

Just a small amount on the backs of the pads in the indentions where the pistons contact, along the top between the spring and the pad, and along the side of the pad between the backing plate and the caliper. Honestly, I think just cleaning all the dust and gunk is probably a bigger deal.

My first mod!

Thanks for the post Ray! That is the direction I am going eventually. I will most likely buy a set of apex wheels and get some cup2's on there. I initially sold mine and put the MPSS on there and they have been great for street/track use.

I've been driving my 350R a lot the last few weeks. To work, errands, day trips out of town, you name it, it's done it. What a wonderful car. It's so easy to use and so much fun on those occasions when you can open it up even just for a few seconds. Other than the terrible turning radius and having to be a little careful pulling into angled driveways, there are no pitfalls.

I love the Hooker Blackheart catback that I installed a while back, too. Sounds amazing without being obnoxious and I swear it made the car a little stronger than the Borla Atak that was on it previously (the Hooker is 3" vs Borla 2.75" might be why). No drone, either.

I keep wondering how Ford will top the 350s in terms of driving enjoyment. Let's hope whatever the new GT350 or Boss or whatever Mustang-with-a-special-engine they come out with doesn't cost 150k or something!

With the pricing on the dark horse and GT500's in the six figure range Ford seems be trending toward high end pricing making even the higher trim mustangs unattainable to the avg person. Don't know If we will ever see another 500+ HP NA V8 with a manual trans.

Very cool. I didnā€™t realize NM had a plate option that would allow 8 characters. The chili plate is six and the yellow is seven. Took my 500 to the range today. Was a really nice morning.

It's not a mechanical upgrade, but an upgrade nonetheless šŸ˜. Installed my personalized plate.
