Yeah, the garage usually looks like 4 year old tried to change the oil. One time my wife looked around and said, "What happened?" like it was a crime scene.

I suppose the stars aligned for this oil change. Here's what I did (and it's nothing fancy):

Drain plug: With one hand, I held the empty 10qt waste reservoir in the air, just below the drain plug. With the other hand, I unscrewed the drain plug. As the oil came out, I gently lowered the reservoir to the floor and followed the stream as it dwindled.

Oil filter: I held a medium size funnel just under the back of the filter housing, while I unscrewed the housing with a socket wrench extension. As the housing started to come loose, I held it in place and let the oil drain into the funnel, which then dripped into the waste reservoir below. I jiggled the housing a bit until no more oil drained (about a minute).

And there you go. All it takes is evidently using one hand to unscrew while the other hand directs the oil into a waste container. I'm certain for the next oil change, my garage will return to its usual crime scene status.

I thought the reason you did not leave any oil in the garage was you left it on the track in Daytona!!!! LOL

Anderson Koch ESP prices have dropped a little this week. My bumper to Bumper is up this October so I bought an 8 year 36K $50 deductible Ford ESP Premium for $1500. My R has 8k on it and I only put a bout 2.6k on a year. Good enough for me.

I saw a thread on the GT500 page for this INGENIOUS product.... does this also work on the GT350?

If so, PM me with info so I can purchase...!!!!!
Ha, thanks! It was designed for my ‘19 350, and we just recently discovered it’s a perfect fit for the 500 also. The caveat… it only works on the ‘17+ 350’s that have the canister oil filter. This winter I’ll be working on a solution for the spin on filter crew. The original thread on the 350 side had a title of something like “3D printed oil change apparatus,” so I could see why a lot of people wouldn’t have clicked.

I’ll send a PM shortly!

Ok, ok…. I’ve read plenty of pretty incredible things on this forum. Never, I mean never have I heard someone not spilling a single drop during an oil change on a GT350. Not on this forum certainly not on this planet.
I‘m calling you out….You cannot post something like that and not give blow by blow details how you did it. 🤣
Come on now “Young Man”, give datadatum a break. I have done an “Oil & Filter” change also and not spilled a drop…..it can be done

HaHa, it can be done, was able to do that on my last oil change a couple weeks ago.

Did it by using a form-a-funnel differently than my previous 3 attempts which weren't so great. Previously, for some unknown reason, I crammed the form-a-funnel into the hatch, not terrible but still had to cleanup some oil from the belly pan. This time I inserted the funnel from the wheel well which let it get totally underneath the filter and a little behind it, worked great, not a single drop spilled. Also put a bunch of paper towels under the funnel and in the belly pan, more surprisingly when I pulled those out, not a single drop anywhere on those either and I checked every inch of every towel because I did not believe it was possible.

Another big difference is this change I really took my time, 2hrs vs the more typical ~1hr. Might have just been blind luck, we'll see next time when I do the same process...

Just reconnected my fuzz buster (Escort 9500ix).

I took it down when I installed my frameless rearview mirror, COVID hit, and I simply never bothered to reconnect it. Now that I have a road trip planned to the Blue Ridge Mountains, might as well get it back up and running.

After a quick google search on where to put the hardwire wiretaps, an update to the software, and it is good to go! I'll just have to remember to disconnect it while in Virginia...

Attending this years event. You will love it, one of the best experiences i've had with my Shelby. I won't be attending next year due to other events on my bucket list but hope to return in 2023

Went to Tire Kingdom to get a leak plugged before my Blue Ridge road trip.

Hmmm… think I can say that’s not in the shoulder? CRAP

So…. I went home and ordered a new rear tire, only to find out that they are AGAIN in back order. No projected delivery date. Double crap

So… I ordered 2 Pilot Sport Cup 2s for the rear. Delivery next week, which gives me a few days for installation prior to my departure date.
