Why a Charger? At least look at the Challenger. The Charger is a huge boat it doesn't match the rest of your list at all.

I would stay away from the 4 cylinder turbo cars because they just don't do it for me. The VWs are overpriced IMO for what you get, the WRX still has that old engine.. Evo is a little interesting to me, but not much.

Since you don't have snow to contend with I would go Challenger. You could also look at an older Mustang or Camaro. I love the 2011 Mustang styling and you could probably get a great deal on one.
Because the charger has 4 doors? Haha. And I want an auto for my next car. Curiously enough when I look at my previous cars, I've always done this:

AT to Manual back to AT then back to Manual. So the next one has to be an Auto. Haha. Just kidding. If I am getting a VW, it has to be an auto because I think the DSG gearbox is pretty damn awesome.

The WRX has the new engine, the FA20. The STi is still using the old EJ25. The EVO X MR owners say they have problems pushing their cars above 400hp on the SST and I've read quite a few complaints about the SST gearbox.

No offense (not sure if I will offend anyone since this is a Mustang forum) but I hate the Camaros. I've rented one and the visibility in that car is bad. Very poor driving experience. The styling of the older mustangs do not appeal to me and they make less power than my current one.

I've been googling and researching a little and have shortlisted a few (all used):

1. MK7 Golf R DSG
2. BMW 335i - a bit turned off by the maintenance for the vehicle though
3. Dodge Charger Scat Pact
4. Subaru WRX STI Hatchback
5. Evo X MR

I would like to know what you guys will consider and why? :D

And finally, the GT350 is a little outta my budget at the moment.
17' Camaro SS 1LE is the best bang for your buck currently imo.
Close to GT350 performacne for $45k. There are some going for up 30's slightly used.

You may want wait and see whet the 2018 stang gt has to offer?

You've got a great deal for a Hellcat considering the MSRP is upwards of 62k. As I mentioned, I entered into a lease with no credit history and am paying $700 a month for my mustang. After the lease is up, I would have paid about 25k and I end up with no car. I can't get over the fact that I paid 25k and I have no car to call my own. 25k would have gotten me an older sti or evo or the mk6 golf r. For me, no more leases moving forward. I've got great credit now and I think it's time to buy and own a car. Plus, the hellcat is not within my budget.
Does not seem like you had much of a choice with your current car. I've lost so much money on cars over the years, I shutter to think about it. It is what it is bro so don't sweat it.

Well written reply. You obviously know more about the 4 cylinder stuff than I. Are you considering FiST, FoST or the RS?

Thanks for the info on the new Camaro. I haven't driven one yet due to it being winter.

I understand the styling thing on the Mustangs, but I can tell you I had a 3.73 rear Brembo 2011 GT and it felt significantly quicker than my 2015 GT. I think the power increase was slight and the weight increase counteracted it.

I too am leaning towards the Golf R. What stage and tune are you on currently?
Stage 1. Haven't modified the car very much since it's the wife's car, but aside from that just some black badges. Love the car though, seriously fun.

I love the Mustang and I think it's one of a kind. I know the v8 mustangs have a lot of power at higher speeds compared to a turbo4 but I don't see myself ever getting to those "unsafe" :D speeds.

I miss being in a turbo-charged vehicle and my preferences are biased towards that. I think they have much better power at lower speeds. I know I included the Charger SCAT pack but it's highly unlikely I will go for it.

When finances permit, I would love to get a GT350. :first:

I did consider the FoRS but I think due to its "rarity", it's kinda over-priced right now. If memory serves me right, I think they are going for like 5k above MSRP?

And I rented the model before the current Camaro. Not the current one. I was told the current one is much better but I miss being in a turbo-charged vehicle.

I guess reading everybody's replies and writing my own has helped me to realize I really want the Golf R as my next car.

AFAIK around here FoRS are going at MSRP. You may have to look around a little, but I bet you could find a dealer willing to sell at MSRP. I could see you not wanting to buy without a test drive, though. I know a lot of people have said they are a blast to drive, including many GT350 owners and the comparisons I've seen - Motor Trend with the VW Golf for instance - say that the FoRS is much more fun to drive.

I bet they are fun to drive. However, the inside of the FoRS looks just like my friend's regular Focus. It's a tad bit boring for me. I'll be sure to look around nonetheless.

Hello fellow mustang owners.

The lease on my 2015 Mustang GT PP is up in about 10 months and I thought now might be a good time to think about what to get next and I would like to hear all your opinions. What car would you consider driving next after your mustang (if you had to sell it or in my case, lease is up)?

I'll explain why I do not plan on keeping it. I moved from another country and had no credit history in the beginning. I paid/am paying a quite exorbitant amount for the lease on my mustang. If I bought it after the lease, I would have paid like 55k for the car which is crazy. Long story short, I'm trying to cut my losses.

I've been googling and researching a little and have shortlisted a few (all used):

1. MK7 Golf R DSG
2. BMW 335i - a bit turned off by the maintenance for the vehicle though

From your list, none of those interest me more than a Mustang. I guess you've got no love for a 2018MY Mustang GT? The BMW 335i would be my pick from your list. It's nicely styled and in a class above the rest.

I think a used GT350 might be within your budget in 10 months. I'd stretch for it, the GT350 is worth it. But not if it's going to really bust your budget.

Hard to go from an 8 to a turbo 4. I had a Charger RT and hated. The only I really liked about it was it was roomy.

If I were to go turbo it would be a WRX or FoST. The FoST is pretty nice if you get a ST2or ST3. It was just a little tight for me. I'm 6' 200lbs.

You are right. I have no love for the 2018 Mustang. :headbonk:

I like the 335i too but the thought of maintaining it puts me off.

I'll definitely take a look at the GT350 again in 10 months.

I'm 5'9 and 270lbs. :headbonk:

I haven't test driven the WRX yet and would be tempted to test one. I would prefer the FoRS over the FoST but I've got to test drive both of them to be sure.

Holy crap. So if you knew that going in - why did you bother leasing at all? Was that to build up your credit?
