If they do this, it will definitely change traffic patterns. At least here in MN, most of those people will be in the left lane, even if their car is the slowest one on the road.

I can see where that could be very difficult to manage. The speed limit that shows on my dash from GPS doesn't always match the posted speed limit. In addition, the speed limit is changed in construction zones, which are all over the place.... temporarily.

The article I read about this said that the legislator is also suggesting that part of the bill is infrastructure in order to help with implementation of this. I would imagine it's a massive boondoggle of a project if they actually go forward with it.

Frankly, I think it would be political death to any politician who decided to push this bill forward.
