I am trying to use the wiring harness from a donor car and put it on a racing seat for track days. This way the dash lights won’t be on.

I did hook up the wire harness from the donor car after removal. And it now has B0001 and B0002 in my module (hard codes). Tried clearing them with an SRS scanner-they keep coming back.

1-I got lazy and unplugged the seat with the battery hooked up.

2-I hooked up the donor harness without the resistor in the airbag plug (it was empty)

3-I reused the seat position sensor-all the other connectors were for motors or the controls.

4-I am also reusing the male end of the seatbelt from the donor seat, this way I can leave my stock seat intact

I figured the airbag not being attached would be a soft code..hence I did this..not sure why I couldn’t wait for the resistor..but it’s done. I saw the YouTube videos someone has up and it didn’t seem like they got hard codes while experimenting.

Could the position sensor hold the impact data and need replacing?

Doing all this caused no other airbags to go off (thank goodness)

Thanks for any help you can offer
