I d say you put something back wrong if it was normal before last week.
@sk47, I agree, something binding in the caliper/pin etc...
check mounting point also.

I also did not see the text under the big picture in the original post. For some reason I always look at the top. I guess you would have caught worn out brake pads when you had it apart.

They aren’t worn to the brake pad indicator, it’s still ten thousand miles + away from that lol

Yes the pad is. And on the other side, same thing but on the bottom.

Hello; Sounds like the bracket holding calipers might be tweaked.

well sounds like it s time for new rotors and pads. Clean up everything and lube. It s both sides so start new. Make sure the piston slide s back smoothly. That s about it being both side wearing uneven it doesn t look like a specific failure.
It is strange that the pads would be wearing evenly though?
Assuming it s all stock hardware?

Hello; The idea of new parts is sound. Before doing that take some time to examine the old parts and the structure around them. Look for unusual things. Things which do not seem right. Impact damage and the like.
If the brakes have been worked on before check to see if bolts are tight. Could it be someone tightened bolts incorrectly such as tightened one bolt all the way instead of evenly a little at a time.

Make sure the piston slide s back smoothly.

This for sure.

Plenty of life left surprisingly. My front brakes have never been replaced (6 piston brembos) they’re getting there but they’re still OEM lol.

Wow, I'm very surprised. I'm curious as to what caused the issue.

The wear pattern is so bad because the rear brake is hardly used. It would be even worse on the S650 because it is bigger.
As long as the brake values are ok on a brake tester, I wouldn't do anything.

Its prolly the pads not being able to move smoothly on their rails. Things are a little bound up from reassembly.

Many years ago I didn't apply brake grease to moving brake parts. I was too cheap to buy grease the auto parts counter guy pushed. When I started hearing a snapping sound once, my inspection revealed that one pad was almost gone but the other was almost like new.

Lesson learned, the brake grease an auto parts store wants to sell me has a good purpose...to keep moving parts moving as the brake assembly is designed to float somewhat. I now use the grease. It is less expensive than replacing pads prematurely.
