FYI, the American Muscle wheel I used is 19X8.5" versus the OEM 9".....

The reason I went this way: no spacers, no nonsense. Bolt on either end of the car and go.
Did I miss the tire size somewhere?

It fits in the wheel well in the trunk?

Started on the way to work.

Almost made it to work, when all of a sudden my TPMS light came on. Showed there was only 20PSI in the passenger rear tire. I thought thats odd, so i go to a Shell station and fill it up. I could hear the air coming out as it was going in . Turns out there was a piece of metal in the tread grip.

I can't go to work with the tire like this, so i drive over to a sears that was nearby, and the air is leaking out fast. It was 35PSI when i left shell, and it dropped down to 10PSI right as i parked at sears. Luckily they just opened. Asked the dude at the counter if they carry Pirelli, and they don't. They don't even have that size tire of any brand in stock. So i decide to use the air pump that comes with the car (PP cars don't come with spares).

What an utter piece of shit.

I decided to use the sealant, and the shit just leaked out of the fitting! Didn't even go into the tire. The pump is useless too. So i called Ford Roadside Assistance for a tow to the dealer, hoping the dealer has it in stock. Dude looks at the tire and says it can be patched! So right there he patches the tire and gave me the metal that was stuck in the tire. Turns out it was a piece from a razor blade or a box cutter. My tire probably picked it up and the end of it broke off somehow.

With the tire patched, i drove over to the local dealer. Turns out they don't even have it in stock, and they wanted $314 per tire!! Tire Rack is $261 for the same Pirellis, and the dealer can't even match them because they said that price is below their cost! And no one else on the island carries Pirelli, especially that particular size (255/40/ZR19)

Three things i learned from this experience:

1) The air pump is utter shit. Its useless. Better off ordering a spare set (if your car isn't the GT with PP) and ford needs to know about this.

2) Finding tires in this size is very hard as its an odd size

3) the dealer marks the tire prices up very high.

Well, at least its patched and it'll hold for now. Ill probably just wait till i move to replace the tire.
That sucks man! Look at the bright side, you didn't get rearended by a woman in an SUV like I did! It can always be worse! :frusty:

Oh and for the record, it's not just PP cars that don't come with spares. My non-PP GT with the 20" wheels didn't come with a spare either. I too only have the pump and sealant, although luckily I haven't had to use them.

Does the EB PP use the same Pirelli P-Zero summer tires that the GT PP and the GT w/20" wheels use?

Yes, same exact summer tires.

The air pump is worthless. All the sealant just leaked out of the fitting when I connected it to the valve stem.

Based on all the above entries - I think the solution for LE Owners would be to find a
19" X 8.5" Luster Nickel
Aluminum Wheel
50 Years Appearance
Package (975)
Because it most closely resembles the LE Wheels (just a smaller size) - and put the 255/40R19 tire on it.

I remember with my 2013 5.0 I had the "premium 19 inch wheels" and those were 245/40/19 and when I took it for service they told me it was $419 a tire...Went on discount tire direct . com and got a set of nitto nt555r that were night and day better for like $550 shipped, dealers are rapists! Sorry about your tire, I curb rashed my front wheels last week because this car is so damn wide and I suck at parallel parking.

Yeah I'm just gonna hold out with this until they all wear and then I'm gonna get the MPSS or maybe even the same P-Zeros again.

Shit when the parts guy told me Tire Rack was below dealer cost, made me wonder how much dealer cost is.
