This isn't some groundbreaking topic... :)

I'm just curious - You GT (and beyond) folks;
How do you keep things glued to the ground when it's wet outside?

My turbo is as nervous as a hootchie in church if I even *look* at the throttle too hard when the road is wet. That makes me wonder how much the V8s need to be feather-footed when the ground is wet.

Do you guys use the "snow mode" to keep things in check or just exercise moderation? :D

I'll use the wet mode if it's within the first 10-15 minutes of a hard rain and the roads are still slick. Pulling out onto a 45mph+ main road can be a bit hairy in those conditions, especially if cars are coming.

Step 2: Things like the CB005 cradle lockout that give you much better feel for the rear of the car

Tires are everything. Just like we make sure winter setup is made to handle cold temps and snow/ice/slush, the same should be done for summer driving.

All(no)seasons are the number one issue with year round traction loss. A dedicated set of summer tires designed for warm weather grip and shedding water is probably the best investment you can make.

If you live in a state that needs all seasons for winter, do yourself a favor and buy a set of summer tires and a set of winter sport tires for the cold months.

For sure.

My Firehawk Indy500s handle much better in the rain the the Pirellis.

With that said, I never use snow mode. I'll test the limits in a controlled environment and then stay below it. The tires handle much different with hot asphalt/rain than cold asphalt/rain.

Not afraid to say I use it, just makes it a bit easier. As Bmacil said the cradle lockout helped plant things in the rear as well.

Now onto tires

Control the throttle and the car is fine. Get stupid and the car will get stupid. Just don't do anything create sudden torque. Even with 315's (g2's) in the rear, I can make them break loose if i'm not easing into the throttle.

Snow/Wet Mode if caught out in the weather that is bad enough. Still have my stock PZeros too.

Both the stock Pirelli P-zero summer tires and the Nero A/S tires are pretty atrocious for wet traction. Yes you have to drive for the conditions, obviously, but having a better tire on the car makes a world of difference.
