Edited to add: looks like the same shot of the same tire to me.
It's wise to replace just in pairs if there is much wear time on the set.

Apparently some have not priced a 305 series tire outside of a Nitto or Firestone or Sumitomo recently. If anyone thinks that's expensive for Michelins they better rethink ownership of a GT350 or put Nankangs on theirs next go around.

So I dismounted the tire and used Flex Seal. Should be good to go.

You know, I've had my tires slashed, and the cuts don't look anything like that.

It looks to me like the OP went over a piece of road debris with a spike in it. The spike penetrated the tread at an angle and exited through the sidewall. Whatever was holding the spike stayed put, pulling the spike back out and leaving a damaged tire. And yes, it's damaged beyond repair.
