Hay Gang,

Yesterday I got the AWD Mustang back on the wheels after some simples fixes and upgrades. After letting it warm up I gave it some gas and it pulled really strong and then the wrench light came on the dash and I lost all power. Unfortunately I was half way onto the freeway ramp and I had to limp it to the next exit with the flashers on:( The car basically had no power, wouldn't take much throttle input and seemed to be really lean. I wasn't data logging since it wasn't meant to be an aggressive run.

I assumed that maybe it was a wheel speed sensor since I had removed them to put in some new axles. But when I eventually got back home and checked the DTC codes I got the following.

dtc codes.webp

I checked all of the wires going to the throttle body and they all look good. I also checked the everything going to the gas pedal and all was good.

I then did some key on engine off data logging. The gas pedal has two sensors for redundancy. They were both reading and seemed smooth but one of them was .5-4.5V and the other one seemed to be exactly half of that. Is that normal?

I also watched the TPS sensors, there are two of those too, and they where about .4-4.5v with one being inverted from the other, which I believe is correct.

Any thoughts I this? I did some searching on the web and didn't come up with much. I ordered a new gas pedal but I have low hopes that will fix the issues.

Thanks in advance,
Tim

That sounds plausible to me. I have seen both the inverted signals and the 1/2 amplitude signals on accelerator pedals (not ford). So it’s plausible they use the same tech.
