My GT350 is approaching 4 years old and 35000 miles. Probably 30 track days in there and lots of NYC roads (potholes). In addition to this the car is lowered on Ford Performance springs. When I drive now I am getting lots of bangs. And at low speeds my steering groans like an old person. Based on my research the sway bar links, suspension top hats(perch)?, and lower control arms are all items that tend wear under heavy use. What have people here replaced or had replaced on their cars as they age?

My shifter is also getting stiffer especially when hot. I changed the fluid and it helped but its still noticeable.

I'd be surprised if you're havin issues with the top hats - I beat mine up pretty good and no issues yet. But not impossible.

The groaning likely coming from the sway bar mounts. Recommend lubing those up and seeing if it goes away. Other items I'd look at are all the rubber bushings front/back to see if any have excess play.

I also wore out a tie rod, so check those. Lastly, check all your control arms/end links to see if any are bent, etc. Oh, and wheels. Look for bent wheels.
