Looking for some opinions on value if a GT350 is from Ford for track use? Not sure yet if it's from track attack or Ford drivers only but I am looking at a 7k mile R with an extremely low chassis number, not a PP and curious on if that should help resale or hurt due to excessive use.

Opinions or questions ?

As far as I'm aware, there are no R's at the Ford Track Attack program. :shrug:

Having gone to the track tour that is the only place you could have driven the R as a test bed. They weren't available at the track attack.

With that being said, 7k miles of track use will be equivalent to several thousand miles of road use. The instructors and drivers (myself included) railed the R as hard as I could. I would still do it, just know that it's seen some hard use. I

f I were buying the car from you as the third owner I wouldn't be looking to pay top dollar for a car that's been rode hard. I would only buy that car if you didn't have intentions of selling anytime soon, or we're ok with taking a loss when you do.

Could be a press car also, but it would still be whored out. If the car is still "tight", go for it, but don't buy it as an investment, per se.

Agreed, any extra value of it being such a low chassis number I think is negated by it being well used.

So I guess it depends on how much you can buy it for, I certainly wouldnt pay than current going rate.

@PP0001
If you are serious about this car then get an Oasis Report on the car and if the last 6 of the VIN starts with 200XXX then you are certainly looking at pre production 2016 vehicle with many of the pre production R models for the 2016MY being built in March/April of 2015.

Also check out the build date shown on the door jamb area of the drivers door in order to determine the build date. Once you get an Oasis Report it will show the actual build date by day along with the in service date and when the warranty date started along with any warranty work if any.

Who knows where this R model has been but obviously this R model was not a static display car based on it's mileage.

I can't speak for the Track Attack Tour but I drove more than one R model at the North American Track Tour in Sebring and in fact when I was at BJ a couple of weeks ago "PP003" was at the Ford display and it was a Triple Yellow R model that I remember seeing at Sebring in October 2015. If I recall correctly the last 6 of the VIN for this car ended with "200139".

There was also a 2017 Grabber Blue Track Pack car which was "H0005" with the VIN on this one ending in "200019".

If you want further help send me your contact information and I will call you to discuss.

Good luck!

PS: Many of these PP cars have cool history such as PP0002 being sent of the NASCAR Tour in 2011 but one has to do there homework. This car is by far the fastest of my PP cars or any of the 8 Boss cars that I have had and was built back in 2010 as a 2012 model.

If I recall correctly, the R I drove at the track tour had a PP chassis number.
