Not sure how they would be testing without Apple giving them a door.

firstly, where did you read they were actually testing an IOS version? are just assuming because you read there was no IOS spots available? knowing how Apple is, Id take that as there is no IOS spots available because its not available period........

I guess it's possible Apple could do an "about face" from their norm, but I'm skeptical........

I'm in the beta testing program, downloaded the beta from centercode, installed and it runs fine on the phone.

However I cannot get it to come up on Android auto, how did you guys get it to switch from Google maps to waze?

while AA is open, click on the navigation icon, it should show google maps and waze as your choices.......

Got it. I was on the most recent version before (4.24.0.902). Switched to 4.24.0.113 and it works! Strange that a newer version doesnt work but thats what it said in the AA beta FAQ.

how do you get a key? I tried signing up they said sorry no more room for new testers

I went through this link: https://waze.centercode.com/welcome/

I signed up, put in my device info, and got a confirmation a few days later that I was accepted. Joined a few weeks ago.

Honestly though, to get the older version of the beta I needed I just googled it and downloaded the apk. Probably will work even if your not in the beta group.

I'm part of Waze program for a long time. I made a backup APK of the beta version and installed it on my Wife's phone too and my tablet. I'll see how it runs on the Tesla HU

I tested waze auto last night I dont know what the official name will be but I call it waze auto, since you're in the program, could report to them that "pinch-to-zoom" doesnt work on sync 3? @StangATX

pinch to zoom doesn't work for anything on sync 3 because the physical interface doesn't support it.

ummmmmm yes it does. both for oem nav and google maps it works. :cheers: thats the whole point of new sync 3
